Christian Brady After a “screen sabbatical” I am back to reading online. Is the current run on the website also available as a PDF for Patreon supporters? If so, I can’t figure out which story it is…. Sorry to be thi

Thank you, John! I can appreciate the workload and the need for a sabbatical (see above). I have skipped back to the beginning of the story line now! Somehow I had not read this one and enjoying it immensely!

Always weird when someone buys a domain name because it had a certain amount of previous traffic and they hope to capitalize on that? Here, for example, is a new post on Bobbins Dot Horse:

I see a lot of these because I use an RSS reader, and website necromancy will suddenly fill a old feed that’s been sitting fallow with all sorts of SEO nonsense.

Ah ha! Thank you! I knew the little Shelly icon meant it was something Tackleford related but my RSS reader won’t let me see the urls of subscriptions for some reason. Time to adios bobbins dot horse I guess.

I’d been reading SGR casually after Tycho of Penny Arcade had drawn attention to John switching to hand-drawn art… this was the story, and the strip, that pretty much hooked me for life.

The signs indicating The Boy’s dropping IQ were a nice touch.

I visited my local library yesterday and was delighted to find copies of SGR volumes 5 and 6 (Great Aches and Ahoy Hoy). Some interesting tales in there (Ryan in the afterlife! Bears and SAUCE in Wales), which I haven’t revisited in years, and some really fun, colourful art.

My key question, I guess, is how many times do I have to borrow these books for Mr JA to receive mega cash from HM Government?

I managed to get to Sheffield to see John at SCARF with my 9yo. I asked her if it was strange meeting the person who made Bad Machinery and she said yes she didn’t realise he would be so tall.

Here’s my 9yo’s write up of her day in Sheffield meeting “Jhon Allison”

Noticed that the Solver volume 2 cover had changed Lottie’s expression from uncertain to confident

Then I remembered this wasn’t the first time this type of change happened

Working on a project where I map out real towns and regions that have featured in the Bobbinsverse.

Noticed that Daisy is the only core Giant Days character whose hometown is never named. All we really know is that it’s somewhere mountainous.

Does anyone else have any ideas?
