Starfire was my favorite
I was using the darker color background because it helps with eyestrain from looking at a screen for long periods of time. But I felt like it may be a bit too dark for when it gets posted and maybe this lighter background is a bit clearer?
It didn’t look too dark to me looking from my phone. I’ll pull it up on my PC when I get home. It did look fine and it did feel easier on my eyes.
I meant the way I had been doing it before was a bit dark. The background was set to 50% gray on all my sketches for quite a while now. The latest batch is at 30%. So a good bit lighter. But I still wanted it to not be fully white so when I do fluids and motion and stuff I can use white and it still shows up.

So… a little behind the scenes. The cover that is going up today is the second concept for the cover of this issue that I had. The first idea I felt gave away too much for what is happening a bit later in the comic. But I was really happy with how this one came out.
I may still do the second idea I had later on once that part of the comic is out and it no longer spoils things.
How many pages will there be in this Book Club?
I don’t recall the exact page count off the top of my head but it’s over 50.

I know some folks might be a little sad to see Patty send Lamar away, but I will remind you all that this is only the opening scene of the comic and it’s a long one! There’s a lot more to this comic than just this.
I’m really excited to see what you all think of the rest of this week’s pages.
I don’t see Patty cheating so soon after the Reginald incident. If she takes dick other than Trevor’s I think it’ll be with his permission.
