Studio Snippets - What I've Been Making in My New Studio (Patreon)

Hello lovelies,

I've been slowly settling into my new home and new art space, and it's been so lovely setting up a space of my own.

I've got so much room now for arty activities and have all of my supplies in one place, so I've been very creative this past month!

Here's what I've been making lately:

I've of course been making digital art as always, and this month have been testing out a new controller that TourBox sent me which has been really helpful in making my Procreate workflow more efficient. I have a YouTube video coming out soon about it, but it's basically a little console with wheels and buttons to use as shortcuts so that's been fun to try out!

I drew a happy froggy for our illustration club, and some pigeon best friends based on the results of our last drawing poll.

I've also been colouring in some pages from my colouring books and I love sitting down with my marker pens and having a quiet art session! I actually recorded them for my second channel Mimimoo Draws, so you can come and enjoy a quiet colouring session with me 💖

Recently I bought some basic mosaic supplies from Kmart (Australia's discount department store) because I loved all of the pretty tile colours and I made my first tiny mosaic! It's not perfect but I love it, I've always really liked the look of mosaics and now I'm thinking about where I can put pretty mosaics around my house 😍

I've also gotten into doing some painting with watercolour and acrylics - so fun!

At the end of this month I have a big deadline for a children's picture book, so I've been spending quite a bit of time working on that the past few weeks. It takes me about 2 or 3 full-time weeks to illustrate everything for a picture book, but those hours are usually spread out over a couple of months. I'm excited for it to be finished so I can show you!
