Fresh from unbuckling their seat belts on the Gliding Guru luxury jet and tying up the show’s totally-not-tax-deductible mega-yacht, our decoders are starting to feel a surprising pang of solidarity with their old pal Gary. Nothing like a little jet-lagged luxury to sharpen one’s sense of wealth inequality. Or perhaps it's just the natural reaction to anyone who chooses to immerse themselves in the truly insufferable world of the All In podcast. That's right, this week you will be treated to the musings of Silicon Valley moguls Chamath Palihapitiya, David Sacks, Jason Calacanis, and David Friedberg. Revel in their tales of private jets, $500K club memberships, and their noble quest to cut food stamps while engaging in hyper-elitist MAGA cheerleading. Plug in for a first-class tour through cognitive dissonance, private-jet populism, and your standard batch of alternative media grievance mongering and conspiracy theorising.Perfect for anyone who enjoys listening to the top 0.01% share their deep connection with the common man's struggles. Enjoy!

Emma

It doesn't surprise me that the maga crowd would like these idiots. After all isn't most of the reason people admire trump himself the fact that they can't distinguish unearnt privilege from merit.

Gearóid

I won't ever be able to unhear NET NET

Rakish Tilt 🎩

Deadmau5 on the ones to the twos and then the ones again. Then he repeats.

Greyhounds are the greatest dogs, and many former racers need homes and love

Ben Godek

These guys remind me (among the people DTG has covered) the most of Red Scare. They have nothing of interest to say, to the extent that I don’t get what the appeal is even supposed to be.

Rakish Tilt 🎩

I'm sure these guys are even more insufferable at Burning Man

Barbara Wright

If you took a dislike to these guys simply by listening to them, it’s worth pointing out that 50% of this group was heavily involved in the dismantling of Twitter after Musk’s takeover. Yet another reason to dislike them.

Nat J

This idea that Musk used to receive the adulation of the left. To the degree that it’s true, it’s was from the marks and morons, the same as now. It was obvious from the start that he offered mostly bombast, hype, and self-aggrandizement. His role in the Thai cave rescue, made him completely transparent, all his insecurities, inadequacies, vacuousness. Absolutely, inexcusably shameful and pathetic. Just like now!

Like Chris and Matt, I find myself suddenly more sympathetic to Gary than I was previously.

brianshmrian

I think cultured meat could be a key to eliminating factory farmed animal suffering.

ji

David sacks is in the top 5 worst human beings alive. Absolutely despise the guy. His record of consistently getting every single prediction wrong on the Ukraine war is pretty impressive too.

Cee

What a bunch of dumb cunts

michael r

I really hope that they are this popular because they are inspirational: if these dumb twats can get so well off, then us regular intelligence people also have a chance.

SHOUNAK SARKAR

Oh boy, that intro music for All In Podcast is a perfect fit for the deplorable, vain and dumb douchebags that host it.

Roderigo Borges

I would never listen to the All In podcast and certainly not now I’ve heard them talking, so thanks for taking one for the team here. The lack of self-awareness among these billionaires is quite something, but as you pointed out very revealing. Couldn’t believe them going on and on about how their money couldn’t buy them influence with dems but Trump will always take their calls. In some countries, this sort of thing could surely be used as evidence in corruption charges. Anyway, glad someone is keeping an eye on this, although I will continue to avoid these guys like the plague.

Roderigo Borges

I found their pretensions to be the “common people understanders” darkly funny. Again, zero self-awareness. Surely, this is something of a guru trait, but difficult to distinguish from shamelessness I guess.

George

First time I've encountered All-In. Thanks guys, I detest it. Jokes aside, it's difficult to imagine anything I'd rather listen to less than the podcast. I'd honestly rather listen to audio of the night of my own conception.

Melinda

Shameless, gormless lickspittles. I'm only half way through, just finished listening to them gaslight Klein. Thanks for taking one for the team Chris and Matt.

Tree

I dont think Ive ever felt as small and inefectual as while listening to this. Like these people complaining about the goverent not answering their calls (but they are answering them now!). And complaining about food stamps. Like the Marxist version of class seems very real while listening to this. Also Americans like this? That just seems very masochistic.

Tree

Also you'e both destroyed my faith in democracy. I can see where the book club is going. Just endless tit for tat, where we all read books we hate, to avoid reading books we hate more, or just to annoy either Chris or Matt.

Kyle Wilson

Sacks is such a fucking asshole

Lucy

I bet there is a non-zero number of Russians who wish they had said no when they had the chance. These guys may one day yet get their comeuppance. But a lot of innocent people will suffer first.

Mike

What kind of loser listens to a podcast by insufferable douchebags constantly bragging about how rich they are?

Philip Grant

I can't remember which of them was talking about "a new era of constitutional originalism" but...what? The US constitution was very much not designed in the spirit of "the President is an elected king who can do what he wants without checks and balances".

Rakish Tilt 🎩

I'm sure these guys also talk a lot about their investments in "psychedelic-assisted therapy." Decriminalization, not medicalization - which justs adds another brick in the wall of segregating wellness as the province of the wealthy. Medicaid and Medicare, if they still exist, will never pay for psychedelic therapy.

Saladus

There's something truly astonishing about how these fuckers can say the most vile shit about poor people and government workers who were just trying to hold things together rather endlessly grifting, and then they go and censor swear words. Like, won't someone think of the children? Come on, man!

Melinda

Just heard the food stamps bit. I guess they never turn their minds to the causes of the need for food stamps? Like, I don't think there should be food stamp funding, but for entirely different reasons!

Flex Tape

I’m not usually too much of a guillotine kinda guy, but dear god….

Arbo

Transparency? RFKjr closed most FOIAoffices in the HHS.

Arbo

Nice for them, being so rich, but Jesus, is this to rule the world? Boy..

COLOR MENTOR

Slight tangent, but Chris and Matt are you seriously all in on the wonders of AI? A throw away comment in the opening. Ive probably overdosed on the anti AI sector, but Mystery AI hype theatre 3000 and others are worth checking out.

Tobbe lobben

These guys haven been bullied enough.

Kevin Nyberg

Some words that spring to mind listening to these guys: Twat. Man child. Pick-me girl. Douchey. Smug. Unimpressive. Circle jerk. Twat again.

Requires-Coffee-247

I think you just proved Sam Harris' view that there is no free will, these guys are NOT smart or particularly clever. It's confirmation bias running amok, which Ezra made obvious. Also, you had me feeling sorry for Jason Calacanis, and I can't stand Jason Calacanis.

Amy S

This was the most boring and annoying ep. to listen to. Not the fault of DTG though!

Nancy Hale

Joining the chorus, I’m afraid: this was rough for me to get through. Maybe because it was the self-congratulatory political focus in the selected clips. But jeez, it’s just 4 boring smug guys. Apart from the commentary, the only pleasure I could glean was imagining Eric W’s indignation upon learning that Sacks & Chamath’s phones rang.

Nancy Hale

And yes yes yes a Garth Marenghi decoding please!

Alex

Forget Chomsky and Hasan, these guys may be the best advocates for revolutionary marxism I’ve ever heard.

Sammy Martin

Decoding the worst men in the world

Matt Dear

What a bunch of boring wankers, who listens to this shit? 0 charisma, 0 content, 0 style, 0 chat.

Sarah S

These guys are fucking disgusting and act like such 12 year old boys

Duke

These pricks were so annoying they made me sign up for Gary’s Revolution

Kgar

Sick dudes Yes I can’t say whether or not this idolizing mega rich is uniquely American. But many of us Americans certainly believe that flaunting your wealth is about as socially crude as it gets.

Kgar

JFC if one more person says the Trump admin is radically transparent???? Ffs this is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. I can’t take it

Kgar

Yes total conspiratorial bullshit

Louis Burke

As an anthropologist can you explain how someone with such means can be so cookie?

Paul Bowman

More like the "Up Against The Wall, Muthaf*ckers" podcast
