Next batch! <3

#50: Paint it Right On:

… should… should I just keep going? Or…? I mean at this point you might as well. Been thinking a lot about paint brushes as tf mechanisms lately, kind of want to start working that into more things. Always been on my mind ever since Neopets corrupted me I guess, it works remarkably well for petrification tfs but you’d eventually reach a point where you’d pretty much NEED help lmao.

#51: Built for Murder

Continuing the trend of weird avian anatomy explorations, tonight; The Cassowary! One of the scariest dinosaurs on planet Earth right now and I’m sure anyone who knows them will agree. Interesting anatomy though, not quite convergent on the Dromaeosaur claw like the Seriema, they’ve instead gone a bit different direction but not less capable that’s for sure. More convergently evolved onto a meat cleaver than anything else! The scales too are so thick they’re almost like armour plates.

#52: Snaggleteeth

Continuing the weird (and long) facial anatomy trend as well… I can think of few more wild than the Gharial! River adapted fish eating crocs with the snoot dialed up to eleven, it’d start stretching out and just keep going and going while getting so toothy~

#53: Top Heavy

Awhile back I speculated on what it would be like to have just your bottom half entirely petrified and transformed… And it made me wonder, what about the other way around? Yeah this is decidedly worse

#54: Zygodactyl

… Continuing the weird birdy feet TF studies, zygodactyl species are an interesting case because there’s a couple ways to do it. I tend to like thinking about them the same as the anisodactyl (the usual 3-1 bird foot) where you fuse the middle two toes and then twist the big one back, but I wanted to try something a little different here to have the big toe pull back and use the four to splay out into the grabbers. These were modeled on an osprey’s, but could totally work for owls too. Might have to try woodpeckers and parrots at some point soon.

#56: Raccoon Footpaw TF Study

@eventide chose Raccoon when I told them to pick a random animal for me to do a quick TF study on tonight, I should have known they’d pick raccoon!! Plantigrade paws are interesting and not something I do much except with kangaroos (and kangaroos are only sorta plantigrade) so it’s a challenge. There are a few things I would refine if I was taking this further, actually a lot lmao, but this has the gears turning. Might give bears a try, or red panda sooner or later.

#57 Stripes

Drawing today has been an absolute struggle but finally managed to get something out. Began as a raccoon head but that didn’t work and then like six attempts at a tail made this one. Raccoon tails are actually a bit challenging, at least in their natural proportions. Not a whole lot else to say other than I totally forgot to draw underwear, but whatever it kinda works haha
