I have a suggestion for clone names and remembering them better. 1st they usually have different colors depending on what battalion they are a part of. They are also often assigned to a specific Jedi and thus appear by them regularly. Keeping track of their battalions might also be useful. Finally as the series continues they all have specific paint schemes. Let's use Captain Rex as an example as he's one of my favorites. Captain rex is a member of the 501st, so both himself and the soldiers he commands are going to be painted with blue accents. The 501st is under Anakin's command so he'll often be traveling with them. Finally he's easily recognized by the markings on his helmet. He has a symbol above his visor called the Jaig Eyes which is a mandalorian symbol of bravory in battle.

Sounds good on how you want to watch the show Teegan, you'll start to make some good headway with that as well, as I've known some reactors take about two years to go through the show at even a couple of episodes a week. Don't burn yourself out on them though, and with all the other stuff you have lined up! That will be easier for me to edit my own copies of your reactions to TCW, if you put them up individually - but if you can't do that, or don't want to do that, as you get deeper into the show, I'll work it out; it'll be just a case of cutting out the credits, which is done for every vid anyway, and then adjoining them into one vid. Oops, your little faux pas at the start with the timings, caught me off guard with my own edit, haha! Had to rejig my own version!! No biggie! I forgot how blue Asajj Ventress's eyes were. Getting a little hot in here, phew!! A little detail that isn't touched on in the series, is that Ventress's lightsabres, were a gift from Dooku. We see their curved hilts match his. I do like how the King says he didn't want Yoda to be involved in some sort of test, but if a test of the Jedi's prowess is needed to convince the Toydarian's that the Republic is better suited for them, then he will accept, even if it is beneath him. Lt. Thire, Rys and Jek are the clones with Yoda. I love the scene with them, where Yoda explains, even though they are clones, they still have the force within them, which can help them when needed. You won't see them again this series, so I can tell you their fates. Rys, we don't know. Thire picks up Darth Vader with the Emperor after the fight on Mustafar in Episode III. And Jek is also in Episode III as he (and Gree) tries to kill Yoda during Order 66, and gets beheaded... Don't worry about keeping track of the clones, only about a dozen or so will we follow in the main throughout the show, the rest are only in a couple of episodes, or are one-and-done like these three here. We see Ventress be formidable as an opponent with Anakin and Obi-Wan, two of the strongest and best fighters in the Jedi Order; but we see Yoda just toy like her like she is nothing lol, showing his true force mastery. He gives her her lightsabres back as she isn't a threat to him. Exactly with the "failing" part. We have to always remember that it doesn't matter who wins here in most episodes; the Republic will become the Empire and Toydaria will be an Imperial world in the next three and a half years, so its always bittersweet seeing the "heroes" jump in against these pesky Separatists throughout the series... This served up nicely as the original start of the show; who better than Yoda to introduce us to the series. I do like to blabber on with my favourite shows however as you may have noticed. If that's an issue going forward, lemme know and I'll try to be more concise, haha! :D

Also if you are liking the animation style this early on, wait till you see it when it hits its stride by later seasons, Bad Batch, the Tales of series and the Maul series that was out this year! Rebels is a different aesthetic, which we'll speak about if you get around to it (and I hope you do as its my favourite SW series!); but until Maul came out, that was also my favourite in terms of design and artstyle.

Yeah and Cody is yellow, which is associated with Obi-Wan's army the 212th. Red is shown here, but also tends to be for the Coruscant Guard (of which Thire becomes a member of as we see him in Episode III).

Thomas Manning

Is he (Cody) yellow or orange? I thought the 212th looked more orange plus Bly that we'll see later of the 327th is definitely yellow. Also boy was it weird hearing him called Captain Cody instead of Commander Cody.

Michael Daw

Damn... 2-2-4 had JUST been promoted 😢

This being the first episode of the show is so important because it establishes the humanity of the clones and ultimately sets up the question, WHY DID THEY MURDER ALL THE JEDI, EVEN THE CHILDREN?!

Mitchell Scott

Easily one of my fav episodes of TCW. Right up there with the S7 episodes (IYKYK). This is already becoming one of my fav TCW reactions too.

I first watched this series long after it aired (but before that final season), but I did not know the “Movie” The Clone Wars was really this show’s pilot. So when I first watched it, this was the first episode I saw and I was so confused since I was expecting Anakin and Obi-Wan. It took me a couple of episodes before I somehow realized I’d missed the pilot episode. Craziest part, I was on a plane…I’d downloaded it to my iPad to watch, so I couldn’t just stop and go searching for the real first episode! Oof.

Mr Bunny

Yeah I would strongly recommend watching Rebels before the Ahsoka show, and even Mandalorian if you haven't watched that yet, cause Rebels gives you a lot of background and story on some of the characters there, which gives a much better viewing experience for those shows than going in blind. Also Rebels has the best droid in all of Star Wars, so it's worth it just for that :D

Ziro the Hutt

Yeah I think you are correct, the 212th is more orange, or mustard, than straight out yellow. I think that line was a mistake though, Cody was a commander from the off, as he was based off Commando Cody from one of the serials, Lucas watched as a kid.

Wakandan King D

Def should turnon subtitles so you can get the names better

There’s a sad parallel here: Clone trooper Jek( the one with the minigun) is 1 of the 2 clones that gets beheaded by Yoda when they turn on him during order 66. The other is Commander Gree, he’ll show up in about 8 episodes from now

I think chronological is clearly better, having watched this in release order first. I didnt even realize in a lot of the first episodes you watched that those took place before the series even started, and just assumed that ahsoka was on a mission somewhere and wasnt with Anakin and Obi. Realistically they made the show and had episode ideas later and retroactively said "this was before x episode" and then released it because they had a good episode idea, but had all the episodes been planned in advanced, theyd probably air as you are watching them. I like this way best for sure Also holy moly Playing Battlefront 2 and reading the skins for the clones helped so much in knowing what each colour means blue 501st, anakins red coruscant Guard etc
