My inner lore geek is spellbound. This commander tells us "everything alive must die", but back on page 14 of Chapter 1, the newly minted commander that was Lynus's grandson says "I won't let the Tree of Life doom this world!" which seems to me the exact opposite, unless he's *really* concerned about inanimate objects. Is Rah'Jan a Father of Lies, using psychic powers to manipulate would-be followers by showing them whatever will push their buttons? Or is there a grand unifying theory behind it all? Can't wait to find out. Great writing you two.
