Ivy, again, if you just would just swallow your pride for a few seconds and hear Shen out, while he is LITERALLY SPELLING OUT HIS LIFE STORY AS YOU SPEAK, maybe you’d realize he isn’t as “pathetic” as you think! Also, with her lack of hesitation in calling her own sisters pathetic as well, with no remorse at that, and if not for Amber’s comment of this being a repeat offense that the rest of the sisters presumably just got used to over time, you’d think Ivy would be an estranged member of the family that Zaphira would NOT want to see again. Makes me wonder if Ivy was the one member of the Zodiac sisters that mommy dearest wound up not giving as much love, care or attention as the others in her youth. With this many daughters, there had to have been one that fell through the cracks, so to speak, and it would explain a lot about Ivy’s behavior at this point, as unwarranted and inexcusable as it remains, regardless. (And maybe a little of Neptun’s depression, but that’s a different story entirely.) But hey, at least Jade, Ruby, Cornelia and Violet are giving their seal of approval on Shen. The only sister left to consider on that fence is Emery, but I think she’ll like him too, if not just for the sake of seeing him as an easy target for cheap jokes and pranks at his expense. Yeah, wrestling and eating food out of each other’s mouths, let’s go with that girls. 😉 Finally, I just want to bring attention to the fact that Zaphira and her sisters haven’t been together like this since they were SIX YEARS OLD! That would imply that the Zodiac Sisters were removed from Oasis and subsequently dropped into seemingly random places around the world and potentially leaving them to fend for themselves by themselves when they were still children, way before Zaphira even got the chance to truly get to know her sisters in adulthood, all so the powers that be can have her solely focus on fulfilling that dumbass prophecy that they were so obsessed with in the first place, regardless of the consequences that could follow by essentially trapping Zaphira in their own personal cage for her, so as to train for that purpose and nothing else beyond it and tearing her family apart in such a manner like that, as if they felt the Zodiac Sisters had no part in Oasis’ future at that moment, if not in general. This, fortunately, did allow the sisters to carve their own paths in life, unlike Zaphira who until meeting Shen had no say in that matter, outside of her love for reading stories, despite being the queen, and to be able to stand out as their own individuals, each unique in their own way from each other, as we can see just from their body types, body language and choice of wardrobe alone. A few of them, unfortunately, wound up worse off than the others but the fact they had actual freedom to choose on that front, unlike Zaphira who didn’t, still stands. But, while fulfilling that stupid prophecy was ultimately a necessary evil to ensure Oasis’ survival in the wake of a drought once thought seemingly endless as well serve as the beginning of Zaphira and Shen’s romance and with it the freedom they both desired for themselves their whole lives, the fact remains that if this, no doubt, forced separation of these girls doesn’t tell us all we need to know about the morals of the powers that be in Oasis, I don’t know what will.
