Just a note everything that happened after Ellie reached the aquarium. it was pretty much 1:1 of the game.

not to spoil too much- but the game has you play as both ellie and abbey, so like you suspect- you will see abbys perspective in season 3.- thats why you didnt get to see much of her in season 2 because season 3 will focus on her more. because they seem to do things sequentially like how they did in the game- where you didnt know all the pieces but then they fill in everything with flashbacks like they did in episode 6 of this season with the joel flashback epusode
