Having already cleared FF15 once, I keep thinking about replaying it, but I just never have the time.
In theory, for a game you've already finished, you already know all the "content"—the plot twists, the ending, and the fates of every character. So when you want to replay it, it's usually not out of curiosity for "what happens next," but for something else entirely.
Perhaps it's the desire to return to "the self that played it for the very first time." The period of your life you spent with FF15—maybe a certain life stage, a specific state of mind, or the worries and hopes you had back then—the game itself became a vessel for that moment in time. Replaying it isn't just about revisiting the story; it's about getting close to who you were back then once again.
Or maybe it's simply wanting to "be" in that world one more time. Cruising down the open highway with Noctis and the guys, camping by the roadside, cooking, and chatting—that unique atmosphere isn't driven by the plot; it's built on "companionship" and "a sense of time passing." You can't fast-forward through something like that; you have to immerse yourself completely.
And "not having time" makes it even more complex. What you want isn't to "beat the game," but to "be immersed." Yet immersion is precisely the most time-consuming thing of all. Replaying it in scattered fragments of time means you can't truly get what you came for, so you end up never starting at all.
