As I always say, getting better at painting comes down to practice—again and again.

It’s not about talent as much as it is about showing up consistently. That’s exactly why I’m always learning and exploring new approaches.

I also study water reflections and even though I have a few classes on Skillshare on painting water reflections and tutorials here, on Patreon, I can't stop admiring how beautiful this object is. I'm also thinking if I should make a full tutorial on these swans...😏

Lately, landscapes have been my main focus, and since I have access to so many amazing classes on Skillshare, I decided to finally go through some of the ones I had saved. One of them is by Will Elliston, and it really inspired me to experiment more with my process.

In this post, I’m sharing some of the steps I followed while painting this landscape, along with a few studies from my small watercolor sketchbook.

These sketchbook pieces are simple, but they’re an important part of my practice. I can already see that I need to work more on color choices and perspective—but that’s exactly why I keep a sketchbook 💛

It’s a space to explore, make mistakes, and grow.

Let me know if you’d like to see more of these practice sessions or step-by-step breakdowns 🌿

I love this post! I’ve been working on this a lot too recently, just trying to get something into my sketchbook so that I don’t end up stuck in a rut of ‘what if it’s not perfect’ Also please can we have the swans tutorial? They’re beautiful🤩

I love your tutorial and all of your paintings! It”s wonderful to learn in all directions whether it is water reflections, landscapes or animals. Thank you for sharing it! 🙏

Thank you! I will do the tutorial with swans 💙And to be honest, I even started recording this painting for the tutorial, in the middle I decided it’s going to be awful and I stopped recordings. Until I finished and realized that eventually I liked the result😁So I will record it just one more time for the tutorial but with more confidence. But it’s also good to know that I have to trust the process and to overcome this “ugly” stage of painting in the beginning 😬

Thank you so much! It’s so important to hear ❤️I’m really happy you enjoy painting different subjects just like me ☺️

It’s very difficult to find landscapes that stand out from all the others as well as yours. I believe your paintings are so attractive and stand out because of the color selection and the way you use them without making them dark and muddy. I would love to have a step by step tutorial on the swans! They are absolutely beautiful and better than any others I’ve seen.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It truly means a lot to me 💛 I’m really happy you enjoy my color choices and the way I approach landscapes! And yes, I’ll definitely prepare a step-by-step tutorial with swans and share it here soon 🦢✨
