After so many attempts, it looks like I’ve finally embraced the habit of documenting my life. ✨

I think journaling is such a wonderful way to be creative without pressure, and it doesn't require any special painting or drawing skills.

It's a moment to pause, reflect on daily life, and find gratitude in those ordinary things we often overlook.

When I told my mom I had started journaling (like everyone else these days, haha), she said she wasn’t surprised — because apparently, I’ve been doing this since childhood! That really surprised me, but then I remembered how it all began.

Our school teacher once asked us to keep a reading diary for the summer: on one page, we had to write a short summary of a book, and on the opposite page — a little illustration to go with it. I loved this assignment so much that when I got older, I started making my own diaries in the same way — writing on one side and illustrating on the other.

And now, returning to this relaxing activity feels like reconnecting with my inner self — a small ritual that brings calm and clarity.

🌿 If you want to start a journaling habit too, here are a few simple tips that helped me:

Keep it simple — You don’t need to write a lot. Even a few sentences about your day or mood are enough.

Mix words and drawings — You can add small sketches, swatches, stickers, or washi tape — anything to make it fun and personal.

Make it cozy — Create a little ritual around journaling: light a candle, make tea, or play soft music.

Be consistent, but gentle with yourself — Aim for regular practice (even once a week is great!) but don’t stress if you skip a day.

Focus on gratitude — Write down small things that made you happy, calm, or inspired.

I hope this story and a glimpse into my journal pages will inspire you to start your own journaling journey. It's a beautiful way to slow down and enjoy small moments.

If you’re already journaling, I’d love to hear about your favorite way to do it! 💛
