Relistening, let me say a fanfiction I have I'd love to see here... Aron being repurposed from being an FF villain into another hero could be an interesting way to make the character relevant again. "it's the dreams of this world I'm interested in, not reality"... So why not make him a Dreamwalker villain?

I both find it hilarious and *do* kinda take issue with that attitude, both because it's where so many of the worst stories in comics come from, and it really *feels* like the prevalence of this and related attitudes is *where* the culture of annoying and entitled fans comes from. Generations of fans got used to being ignored or outright publicly reviled by the people whose nepotism, social skills or mafia ties got them in charge of those fans' favourite IPs, and to have an opinion acknowledged at all involved shouting it really loudly in a way likely to get emotional reactions. because a writer attacking you in response to your letter is at least one who didn't brush it off. I don't know of an artform that openly Hates its own customers more than comics did for ~50 years.
