maybe i am wrong but i think the concept of what Joka was talking about man in power have change of heart is the fear to end like the current emperor and Aduo . They had Jinshi when he wasn't an emperor yet, so i presume they were in love, and after she couldn't make more babies, she was locked in a cage inside the rear palace like a trophy. For Pairin is cool because she finds happyness from relations with people, Maomao has passions and stuff, so it could ruin all her dreams and take her freedom

I dont think the takeaway is that her sisters and the Madam are warning her against Jinshi it's quite the opposite the whole reason they ask for her type is to see if she would describe Jinshi and Maomao describes the complete opposite of him so they were disappointed.
