I have unfortunately a bit of bad news, related to the projects.
Things have been delayed very drastically compared to before, and there are some reasons which I will have to explain to be fair.

First, the initial plans were made when I was training potential staff for the work, with expectations that half of them would stay with me to work on the projects, this was basically on January and February.
To put it short, the new staff pretty much left after getting trained for a while, "maybe" to work on their own projects, which is just my own presumption.

Well, it was still manageable to some extend even if things slowed down, but there was another issue, when we tried to upgrade our engine to make it compatible for newer phones and lower the hardware usage on computers too.
We wanted to upgrade from renpy 7.5.3 to 7.8.7 for this. Things went smooth at start, but we found a memory leak issue that would cause crashes in around 1 minute of gameplay.
This forced us to make a engine update further from 7.8.7 to 8.5.3 which is the latest engine we can use.
This makes it also necessary for use to rewrite more part of the game code for our games, specially Neko Paradise. Including making sure that save files also don't break and cross-platform saving.

It would've been fine to delay it a bit more of course, if it wouldn't take that much longer.
But the staff responsible for coding, living in Venezuela had to stop temporarily, due to an earthquake that happened yesterday.
It might take days or weeks for the staff to be able to get back to work due the extension of the damages and therefore, I decided it was best skip one release entirely and make it bigger for the next release to balance it out. Or else it would feel like a long waiting time just for some small content.

I'm sorry for the big delay and thank you for understanding.

It's okay to delay it as much as possible as long as everyone stays safe and the release is polished!! 💖 Also I personally don't mind saves breaking, I usually start from 0 every time I play Neko Paradise! 😺

Real life and real world events that we have no control over are well beyond managable sometimes. We have to do what we have to do. In your case you have been doing your best and things in life and real world events have gotten in the way. This is understandable! DO NOT let anyone condem you for delays caused by these events. Those of us who truly support you, even if not financially due to our own real world and life situations still support you in spirit and public postings like this. Too bad that those you taught and trained for this work took advantage of you and your generosity for their own gain and left you hanging the way they did. This too is something that in many situations can not be controlled by anyone but them. Do what you have to do. Larger updates due to the delay caused by these things is preferrable to games being abandoned that so many of us enjoy. I for one trust you to do what you can to catch up and give us more of your great games. I also know that you are in partnership with another developer helping them with their production and these things do have an effect on that developer's update releases as well. Pass on my support to them as well. Thank you for updating us on the real world and real life issues that have unavoidable effect on your work and life. I am sure I am not the only fan who understands and supports you with this. Best of wishes for you and the team that stands by you as well as your other partner and partners. Better days ahead if all goes well for you all.

I’m really sorry to hear about this, and I hope you’re doing better. Do you have an estimated timeline on when we can see the next update? I only ask because I truly enjoy the game and hope it continues

Hi, I'm new here, I was just wondering if there are any updates on what was discussed here?
