Halloween is actually about Christian as you can get... The Catholic Church tried to drain the life from Celtic Samhain by moving All Saints Day from March to November 1. It had the opposite consequence, especially when the church created the tradition of "souling", where people went around soliciting prayers for souls in Purgatory in exchange for little spiced cakes known as Soul Cakes... Connecting any dots, yet? 🎃
