Everything was black. Then, in a moment, all light returned. Franacisco took in a deep sudden gasp. It felt like his lungs were empty and needed to fill them more desperately to anything. The elf held his chest as the burn of oxygen deprivation eased. As his eyes began to focus he saw his party mates standing over him with a look of concern. “Oh good! The spell worked. Told you we didn't need to find those corpse retrievers! That's a bunch of gold saved” announced the dwarf Väyryn.
“Pfft I wasn't going to pay them, what was they gonna do? Kill Fran all over ahead?” Replied the tallman Revous.
“Probably.” Väyryn noted.
“Wait…sl..slow down a second. Corpse revivers? Did I die?” Franacisco asked still dazed and a little unsure.
“Oh…right you got blindsided. Well, some damned Kelpie managed to get the drop on us. Took a nasty bite out of you, must've killed you pretty fast.” Väyryn informed him.
“Don't worry! We made sure to kill that son of a bitch!” Revous bragged, happily wiping small parts of the monster off of his mace.
Franacisco took a second to more properly gather his thoughts. He looked down to see that his shirt around his stomach was torn. He could practically see the bite mark missing. His body looked normal, seamlessly so, although he did feel odd for a reason he couldn't explain. “Of course it was a Kelpie. Always with the Kelpies.” Franacisco mumbled before looking around and realized they weren't near the water anymore. “Wait… How'd we …” he mumbled
“Yeah…we may have got the Kelpie but there were a lot of bladefish. We had to get off the water as fast as possible. We just about managed to get out of there. Hell, we lost most of our food in the process.” Väyryn added, gently checking over Franacisco to make sure he was alright.
“You lost the food? H..hold on a second, how did you heal the bite out of me without any food ?” He asked, knowing that every calorie lost in blood and flesh had to be replaced for a revival.
“Well we didn't loose everything! We still had the stuff we double wrapped incase the water got in. The flour, yeast and salt.” She replied , nervously rubbing the back of her neck. “So we made some bread dough. I thought it might be better than the raw ingredients. I couldn't cook it though… we lost the striking iron and I wanted to save my mana for the revival. It seemed to take though.” Väyryn noted before stumbling down a little. “Good thing too…I think I'm spent.”
With a little sigh, Fran scooped up his sleek elven sword and stood himself up. “Alright…give me a second and I'll go get the lost items. Are you still good to fight Revous?” he asked.
“Oh yeah I'm good. Although my Mace isn’t the best with all those fast little targets.” Revous noted, hoisting his weapon up onto his shoulder.
“Better than nothing. Let's get moving before the water walking spell dispands.” Franacisco noted, gathering his quickly recovering strength. With a plan, the party quickly set out. There wasn't time to waste. While Franacisco was weak, he did still help Väyryn down to the water. She was drained of mana and experiencing some mana sickness. As Franacisco exerted himself, the odd feeling from earlier returned. An ache in his stomach. He shrugged it off, assuming that it was nothing more than some sort of residual ache.
It didn't take too long for the group to return to the water. They could see their items, floating peacefully in the middle of one of the huge ponds that the fourth floor of the dungeon was infamous for. The fact it was sitting on the water the same way it would had it been left on the stone brick was a reassurance to Franacisco. It meant the spell was still up. “Alright…well both make a break for the bags. If we get seen, I'll make a lot of noise and try to get the blade fishes attention. You get the bags secure. I can lift my blade…but I don't think I could handle the bags.” He planned out.
“Just don't go dying on me a second time. It was exhausting dragging you out the first time.” Revous joked, swinging his mace around as he readied himself
“I…I'll do what I can. I can't promise that's much more than just defending myself.” Väyryn offered, trying to be useful despite the weakness plaguing her body.
Without time to waste, Franacisco and Revous stepped out on the water and quickly walked over to the lost loot. They both kept their eyes on the blue abyss below them, trying to keep a watch out. Franacisco tried his best to keep his focus, but the odd feeling in his stomach was getting more noticeable by the moment. One thing he realized was that it felt almost like…bloating. He had experienced a bad bit of bloating a few times in the dungeon thanks to all the salted meat. His free hand gently rubbed his belly to try to ease the odd sensation. He found that he felt a little softer than he thought he should. Being an adventurer in the dungeon meant his weight would change a lot, although revival often leads to a decreased weight. He didn't feel heavier? It was strange to him. Before he could think about it fully, Revous yelled out “Here they come!” which snapped the elf out of his haze. He ran a little distance away from Revous and began to slap the flat side of his blade against the water to get the monster's attention.
And it worked a little too well.
Dozens of blade fish skipped up in the water towards him. Thankfully he was pretty swift with his sword, able to cut through the oncoming wave of danger. His mind became razor focused on the threats, taking out fish after fish. Exertion burned through his body. Realistically he needed to rest but they didn't have long left on the water walking spell and if that wears off on their items, they'd be impossible to get back. Without the food and money in them, they'd never make it back to the surface. Revous barely had a couple coming after him, which he was able to deal with. He quickly scooped up the bags, having to hold them as the straps had been severed. “Got em! Head for the…” the tallman went quiet as he looked over to the elf. It was impressive. Swift deliberate movements leaving the monsters as chum in the water around Franacisco.
However there was something far more eye-catching. The elves' belly was seemingly growing? Revous stared at him even as he made his own way back to the safe dry land. Franacisco hadn't noticed his belly growing ,far too locked in his fight to notice. Revous and Väyryn both began to watch him from the stone. “What's happening to him?” Revous asked confused. Väyryn took a moment to think before snapping her fingers.
“The dough! It must have infused with his body a bit. As he exerts himself fighting, his body temperature is rising, providing the perfect environment for the yeast to start. He's….proofing! we gotta get him to get back over here before he gets too big.” she realized before shouting over to him. “FRAN! Get off of the water!”
“Move it doughboy!” Revous yelled right after.
Unfortunately for the elf he wasn't listening. If he stopped defending himself, he would have been cut deeply by the sharp fins of the fish. Even with his belly growing more and more, it was only as the monsters finally disbanded did Franacisco finally snap out of his battle focus. Immediately he realized his stomach ached. His hand came down to rub and soothe it only to have his hand hit belly much faster than expected. His eyes immediately widened and he quickly looked down to make sense of the oddity he felt. What he saw made Fran gasp loudly. His once flat belly was domed out, filling the tattered remains of his shirt. His belly looked taut and the slightest bit shiny. In his shock, he dropped his sword and put his other hand onto his gut, exploring its new curvature trying to make sense out of it.
“Väyryn! What did you do to me!?” Franacisco yelled over, face turning red. Partially due to rage, partially due humiliation.
“the dough! It's rising! You need to move back over slowly. The more you exert yourself the faster you'll grow!” Väyryn shouted back before waving him over. Franacisco started taking deep breaths to try steady his adrenaline pumped heart. His body was still so hot. Normally he would be panting or sweating but it seemed his modified physiology was causing it all to add to his “proving” belly. It was filling fast, swelling rounder and filled with the second. To the elf's horror, a new warmth was flooding his body.
Embarrassment. Knowing that his party mates were watching him blow up like a bread roll was mortifying. He wasn't the slimmest of elves, granted, but a belly this big was unheard of on an elf . What was even more embarrassing was that he kind of enjoyed it. The pressure mounting in his belly was stretching his skin in a way that felt so good. Too good. It took him a second but Franacisco realized that his belly wasn't the only thing growing. His cock was bloating up. He could feel it getting tighter , pressing against his pants with increasing firmness. If he felt an embarrassing pleasure before, this new sensation was a million times more intense. His cheeks blushed even more red, making him even warmer. The warmer he got , the faster he swelled. His bellies creaking and bubbling echoed off the dungeons' stone walls.
The Elves party watched on , now noticing the pleasure he was feeling.
“Damn ...looks like he's really enjoying that.” Väyryn noted, watching with curiosity as Franacisco’s belly kept steady proofing out. Getting rounder with each moment. What was strangest was that it seemed to be tugging upwards, pressing against his chest which started to get a little puffy itself.
“You seeing that? I guess he's rising in more ways than one.” Revous joked ,staring at his party mates increasing in size. His trained eyes were good at picking up smaller details at distance. He could see the divoting Franacisco's feet made in the water getting shallower by the second.
“Oh damn…you are right. Must've been the yeast. I purchased it in the dungeon, perhaps it was harvested here too. Like some sort of…monster yeast.” Väyryn remembered, before nervously rubbing her chin. “When's it gonna stop?”
“No idea. You did throw a lot of yeast into the dough.” Revous mumbled.
“Hey. calories are calories. It seemed like a good idea,” Väyryn noted, before looking back over to Franacisco. She watched as the swelling began to spread to new corners of his body. His upper arms started to puff out, which pushed against his swollen chest and pulling his hands away from his belly. His thighs and ass began swelling too however, which only pulled his pants even tighter on his swelling bulge. Fran let out a whimper that was accompanied with an orchestra of creaks and bubbly groans. Each new area swelling caused another little whimper from the elf. As he grew, his feet left less and less of a imprint on the water until they completely lifted off the surface. “At the time. A good idea at the time.”
It took Franacisco a moment to realize. The waterwalking spell already made someones purchase on the ground feel weird, he only noticed something was off when he tried to take a step and felt no traction. Looking down he noticed that no matter how hard he moved his legs, the water didn’t ripple. “What now?” He asked frustratedly. Looking past his swollen belly he saw the water slowly getting further away. “WHAT! Väyryn! What did you do to me?” he asked, growing more confused by the moment
“Monster yeast! Its blowing you up like a balloon!” Väyryn replied.
“NO DUH I CAN SEE THAT!” Franacisco yelled.
He tried desperately to try and get purchase back on the ground, but he only floated higher with each moment. All his puffy swollen parts tugged him upwards which put a bizarrely pleasing pressure on his skin. He started to feel a little hazy as the sensations began clouding the elves mind. That was until a sudden rip snapped his mind back to the moment . He tried to find the source, unfortunately when he looked down all he could see was his own chest and belly. His party could witness what happened however. They could see that Franacisco's clothes where starting to tear at the seams. Most noticeably was his pants, which had ripped at the crotch to expose some very strained underwear. Väyryn looked away trying to give Franacisco a touch of privacy but Revous watched and laughed at the blimp of an elf.
“We need to get a rope on him fast! Before he floats away,” Väyryn suggested , reaching into her bag.
“Do you think I could hoop it around his dick?” Revous asked with a deep laugh, taking the rope before tying a loop into it.
“C'mon! Be serious! If he floats away you are going to have to climb up the wall and get in back!” Väyryn pointed out. Had she not been weak from her drained mana she would have attempted the throw herself.
“Hey! Your the one who turned our elf into a bread balloon! It's not my fault I think it's hilarious. Look at him! He's still growing!” Revous pointed out , still chuckling to himself.
It was true. All the laughter had made Franacisco feel even more embarrassed causing the monster yeast to activate further. His body was creaking like a balloon, and shining like one too .(or perhaps like an egg washed loaf of bread) his arms grew puffier and stiff, making even rubbing his ballooned chest a chore. His back had rounded out a little making him look incredibly spherical other than his puffy cone limbs and bloated chest. His clothes ripped yet still just about managed to hold together over him. He kept rising upwards, going faster and faster. Revous began to spin the rope around before launching up towards Franacisco. Unfortunately it uselessly bounced off of his round stomach, falling down to the water.
“You was aiming for his dick wasn’t you?” Väyryn asked
“I was aiming for his dick…yeah.” Revous replied with a little snicker.
“See if you can bring his sword back at least.” Väyryn sighed. “Be quick. I don't think hes going to be in range for much longer.” Revous quickly jostled the rope around until the loop went around Franacisco's dropped blade. With a few quick tugs it was brought back to dry land. He quickly readied the rope again and tossed it out again. Väyryn watched to her personal horror as it perfectly landed around the elfs bloated bulge.
Franacisco's eyes widened as he felt the rope tightened around his crotch. Pleasure flooded his mind as he felt the rope hold him down from floating any higher. A loud moan quickly escaped his lips which only made him feel even more embarrassed, which only made him swell up faster. Revous and Väyryn quickly tied the other end down to make sure it couldn’t slip out of their hands. “I am going to try cast a spell to stop this, I think I’ve got a little energy back. Ill probably enter mana sickness but thats better than having to try collect a bunch of scattered fran-scraps off the surface of the water.” Väyryn noted as she grabbed up her staff and pointed it at the elf.
“Sure. I don’t see how this could get much worse.” Revous mumbled, still stifling his laughter. The dwarf began to chant, hastily but carefully. Her body ached with magical overexertion but she managed to cast a spell. As soon as hit Franacisco, his body let out a loud grumble. He nervously looked over his body, half expecting it to start swelling even faster. After a few loud rumbles and creaks, his body did thankfully stop growing. He bobbed around helplessly in the air, barely able to flap his hands around. A constant stream of soft moans came from Franacisco as the rope tugged at his swollen cock as the slight breeze of the dungeon battered his swollen body around. “G…get…me DOWN!” he demanded amongst pants as he tried to catch his breath.
“Thats…not gonna happen for a while,” Revous yelled up, taking his eyes off of Franacisco for a moment to look at Väyryn who was lying on the ground, mumbling something incoherent as they suffered through her mana sickness. “Your gonna have to be a BLIMP for a while so you may as well get comfortable.”
Franacisco grumbled under his shallow breaths. He felt so exposed, so vulnerable, and so bizarrely horny. He could still feel what was inside of him still bubbling and foaming. As things calmed down a little, he did realize that he had a yeasty taste on his breath. While the whole experience was so humiliating, Franacisco did have a bizarre thought cross his mind. If monster yeast made him lighter than air, what would it have done to the bread if it was actually baked? Given the only other thing he could think about was his own mortifying situation, he decided to try and focus on the bread. The idea of a floating loaf of bread with a light, fluffy texture sounded like an excellent gimmick food. If the party couldn't make their money blundering the dungeon, perhaps this would work better. He clung to these thoughts to avoid the realization that he was the bread bun for now. He could only hope that Väyryn recovered fast, and could actually cast a spell that got him back to normal.
