This update contains some changes and more crucial bug fixes. A couple of the changes are from the suggestions channel on Discord, namely No Smoking now being a lot challenge instead of a lot trait

And the Clubber and Straight Edge traits now being selectable for the club system in Get Together.

I have been working quite a bit on updating BMGambling lately, so expect a new Gambling release very soon. Looking forward to share it with you!

Venue List

To make sure this mod works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List. I also recommend updating it whenever there is a new mod version out as I constantly add in new custom venue compatibility from other mod authors.

Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.

Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)

Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*

Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.

Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.

Choose which Optional Packages you want included.

Delete your localthumbcache.package

* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.

Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)

Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.

Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.

Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.

Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.

Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.

Delete your localthumbcache.package

When I load my game it shows my mods added but when playing there isn’t an option to buy cannabis or any other drugs . Why is that?

I am not sure where you are trying to buy it from. None of the drugs are purchasable from build mode. If you need support with how the mod works please use the support channel on the Discord server. The link is at the bottom of the post

you sure no there will be something haha. wasn't last year something to do with the tv. like it broke or got stolen everytime you tried to use it or was a comment about not using it

Like it’s not an an option when clicking on NPC drug dealer . im unable to have my sims smoke or purchase cannabis from the NPC Dealers

Muchas Gracias, Amigo! Your Mods are the only reason I start Sims 4 from time to time! & I got so many cool ideas for effects for the drugs (already included), because a former buddy of mine studied pharmacy & chemistry :D & I also used to party back in the days :D

I just bought my sims a new TV (to no avail) because for some reason they suddenly weren't able to watch it anymore....then I remembered what day it was. lol. :)

This was in fact just a bug leftover from last years April Fools prank, thanks for letting me know. It is now fixed. Grab version 8.18.239 instead :)

I'm not sure how important it is, but the zip file doesn't seem to contain the usual Excel file with the Current Regional Pricing. So I just kept the one from February.

do I put the current prices.xls directly into the mods folder and if so can i add it to the basemental file when i put them into my mods

You can put it whereever you want. It is just an excel spreadsheet for you to look at what the current regional drug prices are in this release

I always get a Last Exception message that a module called April Fools is missing :( What can I do?

I just downloaded this version and keep getting the last exception message saying there is bad tuning in this mod: \Basemental Drugs\Basemental Drugs.package Delete it from your mods folder or see if the author has an updated version. If it is a multi-package mod, make sure you update all of them. However, this doesn't make any sense to me since I deleted everything with the olde version.

I gotta ask.... Why are you so restrictive with cheats? Why not let people play how they want to play? You asked deaderpool to remove all basemental cheats and I can't even use them for storytelling.

Don't buy the newspaper if you are playing on a mac. That is the cause of the crash. I am aware of the bug and will try to fix it soon

I told DP to remove the Basemental skills from his "Cheat Skills" menu because cheating the skills from Basemental Drugs or Basemental Gangs causes a bunch of issues in game. That is bugs that aren't easily fixed again. If you want to cheat the Drug dealing skills to max you can easily do that with the cheats provided for Basemental Gangs. Those cheats are set up in a way that using them won't make your save bug out in ways that isn't easy to fix. Here are those cheats: https://basementalcc.com/gangs-tutorial/create-a-gang/ So, yeah... There is of course a reason behind it other than "I do not want to let you play how you want to play".

I thoroughly enjoy the basement drug mod; it adds an exciting and thrilling element to the game. Additionally, I have the mod called Tmex-BetterExceptions installed. However, when I try to run The Sims 4 with the latest basement drug update, I encounter several error messages. it is not working for me every time I try to play it sends me to the world screen from trying to load a saved sim and has a blue box at the bottom and when it does work it doesn't let me see it in the phone as an app or as an option when you click sim I've deleted the local cache package but it still is not working

the Basemental mod is not working its actually causing my game to not load sims but when I take that mod out it works perfectly but I really want bd it was my all time favorite mod
