G's Notes

Water requested Cortana for a picture that he could use to get a MtG mat, so this one's a straight-forward non-lewd pinup!

Just for anyone curious about the technicals on this one, Cortana is always an interesting challenge because in order to make her translucent I have to render the scene without her, then just Cortana separately and then composite them in photoshop and do a lot more post than I usually do to try and blend it all together.

On top of that, rendering this one at a resolution big enough to work for print (7200 x 4200 @ 300DPI), makes my poor 4060 very upset, meaning I had to also do a lot of nitty gritty scene optimization and cut corners to bring the CPU and VRAM usage down to keep Daz from crashing. Sometimes people ask me why my stuff isn't in 4K - this is why! It's also why for this one it's just the one picture and why I don't do as much with Cortana as I'd like to.

And with that being said, to all those who have been waiting patiently, I am now shifting gears to work on the big Cloud x Tifa comic. I have no timeline (I don't even have a script yet, that'll be step 1), but I'll be spending the next day or two trying to come up with a concept for that and then I'll let you guys know once I'm onto the next step!
