Halo May

I’m my gosh! I’m So excited to see your reaction to this! As silly as it is this is one of my favorite musicals! I’m gonna have to come back and watch cause I’m at work but I hope you really like it!

BartonBelladonna

YAAAAAAAAAAY! I hope the videos for this come out pretty soon after another! I can't wait!

Yuval Green

Is it counterintuitive to the original reason for Shrek's needle drop filled soundtrack? Absolutely. Do I care? Heck no. This one's a wild ride, can't wait to see how it lands for you!

Rachael Fox

I dropped everything and RAN for this and I am SAT. So so excited for this! 😁 One of my favorite shows by far.

Broody Gaming

Holy guacamole hahaha i vaguely remember this coming up in discord and im still surprised by this 😂 hype. Hope ur taking care of ur machine (self).

KittyKatGurl888

The way I let out the biggest scream when I got this notification!!! This musical alongside the SpongeBob musical are the ones I point to when asked about good IP musicals especially when introducing a child to the theater world. The amount of love put into the productions and attention to detail put them above most AND both have pro-shots so if you're not sure if you can make it to the theater, for one reason or another, you can still enjoy them from your home!

Llexica

Yes! Pandora truthers unite!! Spotify is blech 😝 lol (then again i just listen to music on YouTube mostly, not youtube music...just youtube)

Llexica

I've always been obsessed with the strong solid vocals of both parents! 😍

Aidan

Crazy cross over. The guy who plays Donkey in Shreck, played Hermes when I went to see Hadestown in London not too long ago

Daniel Wilson

Mortius is Schaffrillas fan confirmed?

S.E.W.

Honestly I think Schaff has several good points in his Shrek vid... And I also think this musical is a banger lol. The two truths just kind of exist at once to me

Bricks and Broadway

Another musical I’ve watched that I can watch along side you! :D

FandomFuse

This is my second favorite Musical ever and I’m not even remotely ashamed of that haha. So excited to watch your journey in this!

Kyle Summers

Interested to see what you think of this, you wouldn't know it but Shrek is an incredibly divisive show.

Kyle Summers

Fun fact! Pinocchio is played by John Tartaglia, one of the main puppeteers from Avenue Q, which is a fun little casting gag.

Eline

SO ready for this show! It's so so good!

Mortius

SINCE THE EARLY DAYS, the fact that I appeared in a video of his even just for a moment was so surreal to me

Daniel Wilson

Wait was it the video on Epic the Musical? Because A) that tracks and B) I think I remember that

Spidergirls Mama

Love love this! Have you seen/ heard Tick, Tick...Boom, with Andrew Garfield? Would love to see a reaction/analysis of that musical some time, too!

Rebecca Carter

Fun fact: John Tartaglia is playing Pinocchio and also the magic mirror. He puppets the dragon as well! Farquaad said “I know I haven’t found them all, so tell me where are the others?” He isn’t asking about the ones he already banished, he’s talking about any that might be left

Jack Hillman

HOLY SHIT YOU’RE IN A PRODUCTION OF LEGALLY BLOND??? You must be having the time of your life! Also so happy you’re doing this, love shrek the musical :)

Elizabeth Deprey

I’m glad Mortius likes Pinocchio- sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me 😂🙉 I skip all his songs and scenes on rewatch. Wish I could enjoy it too🙈

honkceasar

As someone who did this show once and was donkey, I’m ECSTATIC to see you react to it!!! Also you are very correct in your observations that 1) musical donkey is gay as shit for no reason 2) playing him is possibly the most physically and mentally exhausting thing a person could do LMAO, he is just a solid wall of energy the whole show, it’s a blast

Harriet Foster

Same - I’ve done this show twice and every time I just hate the Pinnochio voice so very much, it’s so irritating 😂 the “WOAAAAAAAAA is what I know” sets my teeth on edge every time.

Harriet Foster

I’m glad you were warned about the trans slur, but I do think it’s in there because of course Duloc guards are going to say slurs, no? ACAB even in Shrek the Musical etc.

Elliott Randall

I am so looking forward to your reaction to I Know It's Today's staging!! I know you've heard it before, but seeing it is something else! It's probably my favorite song in the whole show, but it's hard to pick just one lol

Ronja the fairy

So,, the amazing digital circus episode 9 got leaked. Important parts, like the ending are leaked. "Ayy lmao" made a video explaining it (spoiler free). I recommend you watch it (and be careful when being on the internet) (just commented this on your newest video)

Danielle Lockwood

Oh I'm so excited for this! I saw the original pre-broadway run in Seattle as a teenager. It's hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago

Lauryn Shealy

This is so exciting!! I love this musical so so much ❤️Random fun fact: Daniel Breaker who plays Donkey has also played Aaron Burr on broadway. Talk about range 🤯

Amy Elizabeth Reinhart

The music is by Jeanine Tesori (who also wrote Fun Home, Caroline or Change, and Kimberly Akimbo among many others), and the book & lyrics are David Lindsay-Abaire (who also wrote Kimberly Akimbo amongst other hard hitting dramatic plays like Rabbit Hole). They are why the music in this show is SO MUCH BETTER than it needs to be for this adaptation. Gingy is voiced by the same actor who portrays the Sugar Plum Fairy and she does an excellent job Christopher Sieber (Farquaad) and Jennifer Simard (Wicked Witch) both star in Death Becomes Her on Broadway, and they are excellent. This ProShot is very good had hiding the leg/knee tricks with lighting, there are more obvious shots later in the show how it works.

Bridget Harnett

LMAO I saw him play Aaron Burr in Hamilton back in 2018

Aubrey Mayes

I’m so excited for this!! Daniel Breaker (Donkey) is SO talented!! Definitely worth a social media follow! And can’t wait for your analysis on Who I’d Be! I think it’s one of the best modern Broadway songs, personally.
