Studio Snippets - What I've Been Making This Month (Patreon)

Hello everyone 🌷

It's the last month of winter in Tasmania and the short, cold days have given me lots of time to stay inside and draw sweet things!

My art studio is slowly getting cosier, I finally hung some art on the walls and now I have a shelf to display some of my picture books. I have three large desks in the room and they're still all messy all the time 😅

Here's what I've been making lately:

My absolute favourite thing I've drawn this month is these bug characters in my sketchbook. I love drawing bugs but drawing them in clothes is even better!

I was sent some new acrylic marker pens by Arrtx so I've been playing with those in my sketchbook. It's the first time I've used acrylic markers and I'm obsessed with how vibrant the colours are, so I've been using them every chance I get 😄

I've also been doing some painting on canvas for the first time in a long time! Now that I have a house I want to hang some art on the walls, so at the moment I'm trying to paint a forest inspired by some of our local hikes.

I haven't done loads of digital art this month but I did a few things, mostly in the afternoons while I watch some TV to unwind. My favourite Procreate drawing is this pumpkin house that I drew based on the results from our latest drawing poll - so cute! I'll post it on Instagram this evening.

I also made a couple of pattern designs as I start exploring art licensing options more seriously. I would love to print my own fabrics and wrapping paper - the dream!
