A/N: A look at some of our Viltrumites and how they’re settling in…
-x-X-x-
He’s on the other side of the animal sanctuary tending to some things when it happens. There’s a broad smile on Carl’s face and a content look in his one remaining eye. He’s wearing a flannel underneath a set of denim overalls, with a ‘baseball cap’ atop his head and a pair of heavy duty work boots sized to his feet.
Admittedly, he’s become quite taken with Earth clothes since arriving on the planet. He’s become quite taken with a lot of things about Earth as a matter of fact.
But… when he hears the quietest ‘oh’ from the other side of the animal sanctuary, along with a low, animalistic growl, the blood damn near freezes in his veins.
In an instant, Carl is moving, closing the distance between himself and the sounds faster than most humans can blink. He arrives between Sandra and the offending animal before it can even begin to fully bunch up its leg muscles to pounce.
In that moment, finding Sandra having fallen back on her ass and a massive orange and black striped feline ready to take advantage of her weakness and maul her… Carl sees red.
The tiger in question barely has time to register Carl’s presence as his flesh and blood hand closes around its throat and he lifts it, kicking and howling, off the ground.
“You despicable animal, how dare you-!”
“Carl!”
Only, before he can go any further… Sandra is at his side, a hand on his broad shoulder. Despite the fact that she’s weak as a kitten in comparison to both him and the creature he’s holding aloft, despite everything… her hand on him is as heavy a weight as anything Carl has ever experienced. It has an immediate and profound impact on him, forcing him to calm down and let out a breath.
“It wasn’t his fault, it was mine. He’s just an animal with instincts… I’m the one who put myself in a vulnerable position. Let him go, please.”
Carl… listens to his wife, of course. He releases the tiger, who immediately runs away from him to hide, sensing that he is the bigger predator between the two of them. After the creature is gone, Carl stares at his hand and for a moment its covered in blood, his fingers trembling.
“Carl… it’s okay Carl. I’m not upset with you. You came to my rescue. I can’t ask for anything else.”
Sandra’s soothing words pull him back to reality before he can fully breakdown. Carl looks to her, to this wonderous, amazing human woman who had taken a chance on him, marrying him and bedding him and… and his eye dips a bit further down, to her abdomen.
She’s not quite showing yet, but they both know she’s already pregnant with his child. Soon, her belly will swell.
“I… wish you had not had to see that side of me.”
Sandra scoffs.
“What side, the warrior? I don’t mind that side of you, Carl. Sometimes a warrior is exactly what a woman needs to protect her… and her children.”
She takes his still trembling fingers in her own and brings his hand down to her abdomen. Immediately Carl’s digits go still, his palm pressing against her stomach as she smiles at him. The years have drained away from Sandra’s face with the treatments, her body rejuvenated and all of her wrinkles and gray hair completely gone.
Her natural hair color is a beautiful auburn, and it frames her face perfectly in voluminous locks.
Carl’s tongue feels leaden in his throat. It is not the warrior he was afraid of her seeing. It was… everything else he’d once been.
After a moment of silence, Sandra hums knowingly.
“Perhaps you should talk about this with Doctor Maria at your next session.”
Carl straightens up a bit at the mention of his therapist. Sandra had insisted he get one and he hadn’t fully understood the point at first. But when he thinks about the caramel-skinned woman now, Maria Alvarez, and all the help she’s been to him… he nods slowly.
“I will… do so, yes.”
Sandra smirks at him.
“You enjoy your meetings with Maria, don’t you?”
Blinking at her tone of voice, Carl furrows his brow.
“I… do, yes?”
Arching her brow right back at him, Sandra snorts derisively.
“You know the GDA wants her to be your second wife, right?”
That… Carl had not realized that, no. He stands there, frozen and confused as Sandra chuckles softly.
“Sorry… sorry, I’m not laughing at you. Rather, I’m laughing at the circumstances. I don’t mind if you like her in that way, alright? I always knew I’d have to share eventually.”
But… Carl shakes his head.
“Not yet. Not right away. We have time…”
He was promised time. Argan had said he did not have to rush and Carl knew the Grand Regent’s words were true.”
Sandra just tilts her head to the side, smiling softly.
“That’s fine. We can take things slow. You and I… we’ve got a lot of years ahead of us. Plenty of time to find the right woman to join our strange arrangement, no?”
Yes. Plenty of time. There was no need to rush… even if Sandra’s words have made Carl look back at his meetings with Dr. Maria in a very different light now. Specifically, he finds himself focusing on the Latina woman’s body in a way he definitely never had before…

Kregg has not gone native, no matter what some of the others might say. He is still a proud General of the Viltrumite Empire… it’s just that according to their own Grand Regent, there is no more Empire. They’ve disbanded the Empire and gone into hiding… so really, there’s no harm in embracing the culture of this new world they’d found themselves in? It was all for the sake of blending in, nothing more.
And so Kregg finds himself on the back of what the humans called a ‘Harley’, a type of land-based vehicle with two wheels that the female humans especially loved. Well, specifically there seemed to be a type of female human who loved a man who rode said ‘motorcycles’, a man who wore their black leather clothing and smoked their cigarettes.
Kregg found that he liked women who liked that sort of man… and so he had adopted the aesthetic in order to attract more prospective mates. And the success of this tactic was pressed into his back right now, his ‘passenger’ holding onto him as she pressed her fully developed chest against his spine and wrapped her arms around his waist.
Grinning as she ‘woops!’ into his back, Kregg pushes the throttle even further, reaching higher and higher speeds. The speed he was going definitely wasn’t safe for any human to ‘drive’ at, but he was no human… he was a Viltrumite and he could not only fly faster than this, he knew he could react to any sort of issue far faster than a human could as well. He was perfectly safe.
As such, they make excellent time up to their latest date spot… an outlook that gives an excellent view of the human city that they’ve just come from. Once they arrive, Kregg climbs off of his Harley and helps his latest beau down as well, grinning at her roguishly.
“Enjoy the ride, Kimberly?”
The cute young blonde human blushes and nods, biting her lower lip as she gives him what Kregg has learned humans call ‘bedroom eyes’. Essentially it means that she wants to mate with him and would probably be inclined to do so right then and there, even on the back of the motorcycle if he was so inclined.
Instead, Kregg pulls the blanket out of the motorcycle’s storage compartment and leads Kimberly to a nearby spot with enough flat space to spread it out so they can lay down and look out upon the city.
Of course, as soon as he’s sitting, she’s all but throwing herself into his lap and pressing her lips into his own. He lets her kiss him for a moment before ultimately pulling back, showing reluctance that’s truthfully only half-feigned.
“Wait, Kimberly. Before we go further… you deserve to know the truth about me.”
The blonde ‘coed’ blinks at him in confusion.
“Um… okay? What… what’s up Greg?”
Shaking his head ‘mournfully’, Kregg sighs.
“My name… my true name is not Greg, it’s Kregg. And I am not from this world. I am an alien from a distant star… and a hero on this planet.”
With that he pulls up his eyepatch, revealing his red cybernetic eye. Kimberly gasps in recognition.
“Ohmygod, you’re ‘The General’! I saw you on the news saving those people from that flood just last week!”
Kregg nods, even as internally he feels a burst of pride at being so easily recognized.
“Indeed I am. Admittedly, as The General I know I look a lot different… but feel free to touch my prosthetic to know it is not some fake prop.”
Fingers trembling, Kimberly does as he bids, running her fingers over his prosthetic.
“It… it feels real… I believe you, Kregg. Thank you for telling me the truth…”
She looks ready to get back to what they were doing before, but Kregg cuts her off once more.
“That is not all of it, Kimberly. The truth is… my people suffer greatly and I have a duty to them… a duty to… spread myself as far and wide as I can. You are not the only woman I have taken to my bed, simply because I must try to revitalize my species.”
Kimberly gasps in understanding.
“You’re like… the last of your kind or something?”
It was surprisingly common for Earth women to assume that in spite of the fact that Kregg had debuted as The General alongside dozens of other Viltrumites. They just hadn’t all gone around calling themselves Viltrumites or even aliens for obvious reasons, so most people didn’t understand.
“I am… not quite the last. But the situation is dire. Without the help of the people of Earth, my species… will die out.”
And then, because he might as well at this point, Kregg clears his throat and announces the rest.
“I am currently in a committed relationship with five other human women, all of whom are already pregnant and will bear my children. You… would be the sixth if you are interested.”
Kimberly blinks at that and Kregg waits to see how she will ultimately respond. Her eyes drift from him to his Harley and then back again as she shifts in his lap, no doubt feeling the… results of her previous affections. Finally…
“A-Alright. It sounds like it’s for a good cause and I appreciate the honesty… so I’m in!”
And then she goes back to kissing him, having clearly decided that being with him was worth sharing him. Kregg is quite happy to pull her in closer after that, and soon they begin to take off each other’s clothes and get down to business.
This tactic of his did not always work. He had even been slapped a couple of times before being rejected by some human women who he had misjudged. But Kregg was getting better at picking them and he had no doubt that Kimberly, while she might be the sixth, would be far from the last.
Human women were quite… flexible once you knew how to speak their language.

“Bahaha! Is that all you’ve got?!”
The Immortal grits his teeth as an unfortunately familiar female voice washes over him. He’d been called out to stop this bank robbery because there was an enhanced among the robbers, but truth be told this job was beneath him.
It was especially overkill to send him AND one of their new Viltrumite guests to deal with it… but then, The Immortal suspected that his current ‘partner’ hadn’t actually been dispatched by anyone at GDA. No… Elix had followed him here entirely of her own volition.
“Enough! They’re beaten.”
His voice cracks out through the air, stopping Elix from putting her fist through one of the robbers’ heads. Whether she actually would have killed the man or not… The Immortal didn’t know for sure. But either way, the moment he acknowledges her, the Viltrumite woman’s head snaps in his direction, her intense, permanently manic gaze fixating on him.
“Mm… very well.”
She drops the robber like a sack of potatoes to the floor, stepping back and crossing her arms as she takes up a position beside him. The Immortal just looks around the destroyed bank lobby and sighs. The damage was only partially because the robbers had been stupid and actually tried to shoot him and his companion. Everything else was caused by Elix herself.
As the police rush in and arrest the robbers while the paramedics make sure the hostages (and some of the robbers) are all taken care of, The Immortal turns towards Elix and scowls.
“You have a problem with excessive force. You nearly killed half of them and broke dozens of bones that did not need to be broken. They could not hurt us and we easily stopped them from hurting any of the hostages.”
Elix tilts her head to the side.
“They were enemy combatants, no? Your planet’s own rules of engagement state that makes them fair game.”
Crossing his own arms over his chest, The Immortal shakes his head.
“They are not enemy combatants, they are criminals. This is not a battlefield, nor is it a war zone. You need to learn how to hold back before you actually kill someone.”
There’s a pause… and then Elix’s lips curl into a wide wicked grin and The Immortal immediately knows he’s been had.
“Teach me.”
She leans forward, eyes as wide and crazed as ever, teeth bared in a vicious smile.
“Teach me how to hold back. Train me in your ways.”
… Damn it all, he should have seen this coming. This particular Viltrumite woman had been stalking The Immortal for weeks now, practically ever since he'd somehow caught her eye. And she was... well, the kids these days called it a ‘yandere stalker’, he was pretty sure.
Still, better him than anyone else right? Only, he knew what she really wanted from him. She didn’t want training… she wanted to get closer to him, to seduce him into knocking her up. She was as baby hungry as every other Viltrumite that had arrived with Argan’s expedition, but as a female she only really needed one mate. And he was the one she’d set her sights on.
… Still, what would she do if he outright rejected her? The Immortal didn’t know… but he did know he could potentially control her. If she actually learned from his training, it would save lives… and if she refused to actually listen to him, he would kick her to the curb.
“Fine. Come with me.”
Elix lights up like a Christmas Tree as The Immortal rises into the air. He just hoped he wasn’t going to regret this…

Deep in the bowels of the Global Defense Agency’s Headquarters, a man sits with his hands steepled in front of him, his glasses glinting as he stares at half a dozen screens allowing him to… monitor the progress of his charges.
Donald Ferguson may or may not have gone a little crazy because of this latest assignment. But it was fine. Because everything… everything was going according to plan.

A/N: That last bit is meant to be more humorous than foreboding to be clear (or maybe both). I’ll just say here and now that no, Donald is not being set up as some kind of actual villain. It’s the Viltrumites, they’ve driven him insane xD
Throw me a comment if you can but please leave a Like if you don’t want to, it’s the main metric I use to track whether a story is doing well or not!
