Traders From Below - Expanded (Patreon)

Last month I posted "Traders From Below", a trading post for small Netherdeep merchants to deal with the surface kingdoms. This map contains two levels that sit above and below the main trading level - levels that surface dwellers don't normally have access to. These levels link the east and west sides of the main level, allowing the troops that are normally on the east side to move to the west side without crossing the main hallway.

The upper level is mostly defensive - on the east side there's another "break room" for the defenders of the complex, and the west side is a large practice hall and some store rooms. Between them is a small room with murder holes that look down over the space between the two sets of double doors.

The lower level is how the traders get here. Sloping wide passages allow caravans in and out of the staging area on the left side. The merchants move their goods up the stairs on the left side, while caravan guards and Netherdeep mercenaries travel to the east side to get to the defensive positions. There are secure storage spaces for the merchants attached to the staging area. A set of four 200 square foot "lockers" are on the east side used by the mercenaries and caravan drivers.
