Hi Sam. I know its a super old fashioned suggestion, but maybe you and the "bearded gentleman" could talk on the phone in between dates? before texting and social media, so many couples kept in touch over distance with phone calls and there is actually a nice intimacy when you are just listening to each others voice, with no other distractions. It can allow you to open up and also its a nice way to check in after a long day or some time apart. You'll get to know each other and be able to plan time together. texting is so awkward for working out details and explaining schedules etc. And if a phone call is too old school, facetime would be great too. i hope you both keep working on it. It sounds like you like each other a lot. :)
