To everyone supporting us from Silver and above, thank you as always!
From here, I’d like to share additional images of Wendy and go a little deeper into how we want to present her as a character.
※Since this is still work in progress, her hairstyle and appearance may change significantly again.
For Wendy’s appearance, we want to preserve both her elegance and her strong personality.
Wendy needs a sense of grace and glamour fitting for a young lady, but also a certain pressure in the way she carries herself.
That kind of presence feels like it suits Wendy well.
Giving Wendy Her Own Way of Speaking
Wendy is a character who speaks politely.
There are many ways to portray a “young lady” character, including a softer style that gently approaches the other person.
But in Wendy’s case, even though her words are elegant, she naturally sounds as if she is standing above the other person.
She does not raise her voice in order to command someone.
Instead, she sounds as if she never doubted they would obey her in the first place.
We want to preserve that sense of composure and pride in her dialogue and voice direction.
How the Three Heroines Differ When Placed Side by Side
AcMe is planned to feature three main heroines.
We want to differentiate not only their personalities, but also their appearances and reactions.
Fei is rough and full of momentum.
Wendy is refined, composed, and carries an air that feels slightly condescending.
Even when placed in the same situation, we’re thinking about how their expressions and posture can show those differences.
In Wendy’s case, she does not need to become openly angry to create pressure.
A look in her eyes or the shape of her mouth can be enough.
On the other hand, when her composure starts to slip, the contrast with her usual self becomes much easier to see.
We want to gradually shape these elements as part of her character appeal.
We’re Also Checking Expression Transitions
On the game side, we’re also checking transitions between expression animations.
If a character suddenly returns to a blank expression after an expression animation plays, it can feel a little mechanical.
Because of that, we’re preparing the system so that her normal expressions are not limited to just one, and can change depending on the situation.
Whether Wendy will appear in the current demo version is still undecided.
However, this system will also be useful when we add characters into the game in the future.
These are details that may be hard to notice from a finished screen alone, but we’re continuing to work on these smaller preparations as well.
Thank you for reading again this time!
As for Wendy, we’ll continue introducing her when we have more materials we can show.
The game is still in development, but I hope you’ll look forward to seeing how each of the three heroines becomes more distinct over time.
