Hi everyone! Here's this month's ramble, just chatting about random stuff like Halloween, the little animation on my YouTube videos, cooking Chinese food, and my new social media pet peeve lol. I hope your month was great 💗

Has anyone investigated vegetable man yet… no? Ok cool. Happy spooky season everybody, stay safe out there. 👻 🙃

The Door

How much does it cost you to animate the characters ? (🚪)

Charlie Hooper

ahh im super excited to wind down with this tonight!

Callan

the fact that teenagers and vegetable man were hitting on Glow tells me she must be gorgeous

Braden

I hope you get to have your fun Halloween plans Glow! And man I know exactly what you mean with the “inspiring quotes” posts lmao. I think I sent one to a friend ironically one time and now Instagram decided it’s all I should see now. Randomly just a picture of like Dwayne Johnson that says like “the early bird doesn’t always get the worm 😈”. I hope next month will be as calm as this month was for you! :)

Wooshi

Glow could describe paint drying and I'd still listen lol We don't really do Halloween here in Australia but I'd love to join in and dress up someday. Hope those of you who do have a happy one 👽👻

nio

The animations have been awesome. Keeping special character animations for audios that require it would be amazing as a surprise. A lot of things to look forward to this October! I hope your plans come to fruition.

Vegetable man seems a little unstable, please stay safe

DexHolder Red

Tbh anytime I hear vegetable man now. I just get worried, but I’m glad that you’re still safe and he seems to have back off a bit. Still keep up your guard around him. Valid concerns and criticism about the animation. Personally I’m not tore up about the lips because as you mentioned it really does depend on the audio scenario. I still like the animation being added here. I’m more annoyed at the AI photos and videos of celebrities on stuff like Instagram. I’m ready for this month to be over! Fall and winter are my jam. Plus I can watch “Scream” for the first time

Braden

Also please don’t worry about being boring with the rambles! It’s sweet that you keep us updated regardless of what’s happening, and I think it’s fun to just get to know people and realize that everyone has their own life going on behind the scenes :)

Edgar

Glow glad to hear that you had a great month. Very happy that vegetable man has backed down for now, let’s hope it stays that way for good. My family never does anything for halloween 🎃 ( sadly i don’t have friends to plan anything with also) but this year I am going to dress up for sure. The costume is still up in the wind might dress as 👻🔪 if you know you know. About the audio animations i am glad you changed your mind because I believe most of us specially me we like your audios because we have a very imaginative mind and we can some what picture what’s going on in our heads so when the animation doesn’t quite match the concept we form it doesn’t feel the same. Definitely like that the animation is still around but based on the picture art.

jman

Glow’s voice is so enchanting; i enjoy every single audio she has released and im glad ive found such an amazing creator. Thank you glow!!

Octonaut

Hope you get to have your Halloween plans, I think a lot of people would listen to you ramble about anything, so don’t worry about them being boring :)

Aquium

Woohoo new ramble! Woohoo more Glow!

Lurkin Chef

I think it’s a great ramble. Being all over the place was a nice change. Can’t wait to pass out candy! And Other Mommy looks creepy as hell

Sean

I didn’t think the ramble was boring at all, I think most of us enjoy hearing about the things you have to talk about during the monthly rambles. But I’m glad to hear you’re doing well, thank you glow🫶🏻

Daniel EU

The new Resident Evil movie is a very solid horror, also I really enjoyed "Send Help" that came out in January this year. The first one is running in cinemas and "Send Help" can be watched on Disney+

Braden

Also if you’re ever comfortable with it, you should show us your cooking skills sometime! It always sounds so good, and I’d like to get better myself :)

Urban Hermit

Good ramble, Glow! I wouldn't worry too much about the animation, since I'm sure there's a lot of people who just listen to the audios without even looking at the screen anyway. And on a different topic -if you're looking for a Halloween costume idea - maybe you could dress up as Vegetable Man. This might be a little awkward if he showed up at the same event himself, but the chances of that are probably fairly small. (Although if he DID show up, dressed as a YouTube content creator, that could be slightly hilarious. It would definitely give you a good story for your next ramble!)

Chesh1re caT

I think it's a very wise decision to keep the animation more simple. I mean, I like the overall idea, and maybe it's just me, but even though I really liked the eyes animation on that character, the lips animation felt quite off. Thanks for another boring (not at all) ramble, Glow, and happy October! P.S. Miss the puppy updates tho

Chesh1re caT

Glow has the most beatifull heart, so I refuse to believe she isn't

David Green

Fun ramble, thank you, Glow. I like the animations and it’s always great advice to KISS! 😆 Teenagers sneaking into somewhere they shouldn’t. Shocker. Does your apartment complex have cameras, security? Please say yes. Finally, Chinese food rocks!

Izzy

I used to do the same thing with my friends when we were around 14-15, at apartment complexes with pools. Hop the fence, go swimming, get kicked out after a few times. Rinse and repeat. Good times lol. Also, Vegetable Man seems like a reincarnation of the witch from Hansel and Gretel. I have a horrible feeling the vegetables he is always carrying around are really transfigured people who got on his bad side.

Pathfinder

Says she doesn't have interesting things to talk about and then shares a bunch of interesting lil tidbits about her life. Lol don't worry about it being boring. All these little things are interesting to us, we don't need crazy adventures to find the rambles interesting. I find the little things like your pet peeves and new media you are enjoying to be more enjoyable than crazy adventures. Going to a cool new restaurant is not as interesting as talking about the new things you learned to cook at home. So don't sweat it lol, this content is great. About Veggieman, the fact you had an alarming situation with him says enough about him not being safe to be around, even if he is eccentrically funny at times. Its always a risk to engage him as he might read into any kindness you show him as a sign for him to go for you again. It will just lead to more scary situations. Though you said you are being safe, I felt I should say that cus you tend to be soooo nice to people lol. Stay safe out there. If your brother is gonna be around for Halloween, you should totally have some sibling bonding time. The pumpkin carving and watching Halloween movies sounds like my kind of plan, and if you still want to dress up, I vouch for you both to dress up as Wednesday and Pugsley Addams. I am personally gonna bake treats and binge watch Tim Burton movies. I agree about the animations, simple movements make more sense for this kind of content. Especially since most of the visuals I have of your audios are done in my head, its part of the fun of getting immersed in your stories.

Pathfinder

Lol damn, after reading that last bit, I really don't want to know what he can do with a lemon lol.

King Zilla

You should watch the new resident evil movie that just came out

Matt P.

I think the simpler animation will look great!

Aaron

Vegetable Man sounds like he has enough red flags to keep your distance. You mentioned watching The OC. I think One Tree Hill is the superior teenagey drama from that time period. Have you ever seen that? Highly recommend.

ZeroFactr

We take the whole month to run through classic horror movies in my house. (Moden and old) If, you haven't seen it, please check out Carrie. The original from '76 not that 2010s remake. Enjoy a young John Travolta being a complete asshole to Sissy Spacek 2 years before he was in Grease 😁

Qohelet

Vegetable Man must have jumbled spaghetti for brains 😂 Jokes aside, I am glad you are remaining safe, despite him, and the invading teenagers. I’m so thankful for your audios, Glow! I’ve benefited so much from them, from better sleep to simple enjoyment. They’re always so fresh, and just about every time I see a new one, I cannot wait to listen to it. :) - No Halloween plans from me, I’m afraid. Might change, might not. What I have been doing however, is bettering myself, particularly when it comes to time management, budgeting and keeping my impulsive spending down (vending machines in Japan nickel-and-dime you to death here, my God!), and just general discipline. I’ve set five goals for myself in light of this: 1. Catch up and get one week ahead on all my assignments. 2. Reduce my total spending to ¥2,000 (~$12) a week. 3. Reduce my YouTube screen time to 2 hours a day. 4. (This goal is too personal to share here.) 5. Get in the habit of going to bed at 9:30pm every day. Warning: rant ahead! I got influenza about a month ago and fell a week behind on my assignments. I’m just now starting to get ahead again. My goal is to be at a place where I am consistently turning in my assignments a full week in advance. I went from a week behind to one day ahead, and I’m very proud of myself for it. And I still find time for recreation and fun (learned that from you, Glow)! The more ahead I am, the more breathing room I have for more recreation, but also for other personal projects I have been having to suppress on my priority list, like editing my memoir that I want to publish. I put together an Excel spreadsheet to track all of my assignments, both weekly, and for the entire trimester (not semester, this is Japan). I even programmed Excel to automatically change the cell’s fill color depending on how many days I have left, going from green to red starting at 8+ days left. Same with urgency, same with weight, same with status. All in the name of visual aids. Lmao Not only do I feel accomplished, but I am a big-picture thinker, so by having the entire map or timeline in front of me, it really does help me get stuff done. And seeing my progress motivates the hell out of me to keep going and creating more of those sweet, sweet big, fat, green check-marks on the bookends of the word “Complete” in a vibrant, green Excel cell. I’ve also been getting in the habit of time-blocking over the last three weeks. I find myself not following through on non-recurring time blocks all that well, but I also noticed that the longer I go with active time-blocking in my life, I slowly get more and more accountable to those non-recurring blocks! Before too long, I can see myself becoming a hell of a lot more disciplined with it. I’m still struggling to go to bed at a reasonable hour, but I have changed my bedtime from 2am to about 11:30pm-midnight, which is progress! I was able to do my morning routine today for the first time in a good while. Anyway… I have a whole heck of a lot more to share, but that’s my most… I guess defining news. Cheers!

Dez

No Halloween plans yet, but would like to find some. It's been a while since I've done anything other to celebrate other than watch some horror movies/shows. Also, your voice is plenty on its own, so I wouldn't worry about not having full animations. In the same vein, unless it's for your own happiness, I don't know if the slight animations are worth it over static images

Jared Talon

my sister just started the OC and it’s so messy😭
