Sometimes it pays to try new things!

Sure it’s no amber fossil, but this resin stuff can really make for a solid sculpture… and with the benefit of being QUITE a lot quicker and clearer too. Can take a fresh subject, pour a little, spread a little, let it set—Just minutes under a UV light for each layer really—Hardens up beautifully! Little cloudy at first, but nothing some proper polishing can’t handle.

Paired with a bolted marble base and a plaque to mark the date… well, this will make for a pricey centerpiece somewhere! Some art gallery or fancy house in town will pay up and that’ll be a nice little pay day. Fund the vices for a few weeks, at least.

Perfectly lifelike, isn’t it.

Almost like they’re still present in there…

Experiencing every second of eternity~

Some long overdue resin for Eventide!

Couldn’t decide if this should be a resin block or a form fitting shell, and just decided to split the difference! I’d seen it done like this a couple times by other artists and kinda been wanting to try it.

Also wanted to try getting a little closer to my traditional style with digital, still learning those techniques but it’s getting there.
