recorded a few weeks ago, outdoors, in between yardworkBefore I get onto the next topic of love and romantic feelings, I wanted to share this ramble I recorded while sitting outside. I guess I was feeling a bit contemplative, and felt like I had some emotions and thoughts to share on a topic that I see being discussed more and more online. Also, because it's very rambly and I'm not too explicitly clear, I wanted to add here (like I've said before) that I'm very much in great opposition of ai models stealing art and copying peoples likeness. I won't ever give consent to someone training an ai to generate a voice similar to mine, not for commercial use, nor personal use.See you for the next one! Less ranty topics coming upx

Yay, perfect timing, I am unfortunately still a bit sick, but feeling a bit better. Thank you for the company, Crunch

🗣 Fuck generative ai 🗣 🗣 All my homies hate generative ai 🗣 Once again, perfect timing for me to decompress while I stare at the last tiny bits of sunlight dim down in the sky. Will return with more thoughts~ Kisses and hugs your way in the meanwhile 💙

Ohhh, bonus rambling! And an outdoor!!🤍 I’m kinda miffed it won’t be my morning company but alas a long day ahead. I will meet ranty, Crunch in the evening. Something tells me a lot of thoughts will be exchanged. Until then… Goodnight, Crunch dream gently when you get there. 🤍🌺

Good morning from my side of the world and yayyy coffee and Crunchy ☺️ Your garden sounds lovely and I like the sound of the birds on the background 😊 My personal opinion as a cosplayer, I can say that AI helps me specifically because sometimes I can't go out to take badass photos in the character I'm dressed like. So it's helping by changing the background, cuz taking a badass pose and seeing my kitchen is not giving the vibe you know 🤣. And my opinion... an art is an art regardless. What is important for me is to not be made by ill intent, or used to hurt others. I can't draw so yeah... Why don't I put my imagination in a way to visualise it. As someone who writes her own stuff I agree. Because it is frustrating you hitting your head on creating a character and someone creates a book with one click. But overall I would support all I guess as long it's safe made and not to inflicted pain, trouble or hurt orders. Oh, my... I'm a complete chaos 🤣 my mind, my thoughts... My desk lmao 🤣 But some parts I blame on the ADHD 😄 it's so hard to focus on one thing sometimes hahah. Thank you for this, I love waking up listening to your rambles. It feels like your keeping me company while I have my coffee ☺️

Well the mosquitos did in fact find me…🥴 I think this ramble touches on a feeling that’s probably shared by a lot of people. Can’t say the amount of times that a video has lost its appeal because it was AI generated. And I do not have the calling to be a detective so it feels like I’m forced to put the detective hat on to try and tell whether the media I’m consuming has been thought, created, produced by humans. If there’s one thing that gives me hope is the fact that I think now more than ever there’s a bigger appreciation for creative processes and what results from there. If anything, I think we crave authentic connections now more than ever. Anyways, thank you for the ramble and the birdsong and for anyone who’s reading this, stay safe from this heat! ☀️

I don't get fireflies here much. They exist here in this state, but certainly not with the cute green butts that you've described. Still, a lovely sight, I'm sure, while you were out and about. Unfortunately, mosquitos are a common one that like my blood a little too much. YOU HAVE CILANTRO, OH FUCK YEAH. My main advice when having cilantro is to grow them in different batches at different growth times. That way when one decides to bloom, you can collect the coriander seeds from them and still have another batch to eat. Always helpful that way, and had to personally learn the hard way many years ago 🙂‍↕️ Pls I've been wanting to have some native clover grass here, but the backyard isn't having it with me 🥹 I know this isn't a garden audio, like you mentioning, but I thank you anyway for the update. It's always nice to hear what you've been up to out there~ The internet does indeed have reached a point of exhaustion. There was once a point in time where the internet was seen as a place to learn and explore ideas, concepts, and imagination. Now it's just an endless spiral of attention grabbing, of surveilling every click and interest for their own profit and gain. I know not every digital space is like that, there are some that are trying to hold on to what the internet used to feel like, but they're becoming so far and few now. Ahhh, now the generative ai art talk ;-; as an artist for many years and noticing the talks of technology wanting to replicate the human authenticity for an equal number of years, it's really disheartening to see this shift in ai use. From digital art to festival posters, shoot I'm even seeing it in halloween decor for this year ・゚・(●´Д`●)・゚・ we are now at a point where it feels to be used so naturally. I remember talking to someone earlier today about this, actually. Generative ai art can learn to perfect an art style, can even make it as quickly as people expect art to be made. But it lacks what makes us integrally human. All art forms are the way they are because they are able to hold the essence of who we are and what we feel. Every stroke of a brush, every chord, every sonnet, it depicts the memories and feelings that we can all relate to in some way or another. I could go to the library and pick out a book that was published about a hundred years ago, and I can feel the emotions that are familiar from a person I've never met. The same could be done when walking in a museum, at a music festival and hearing all the songs, and so on and so forth. Yeah, it's not always going to be perfect the way one would like it to be, like how when you mentioned painting, but neither are we humans. Why should we expect perfection from our art when we alone are already imperfect by default? Unfortunately, we are forced to live in a society that makes it hard to be as environmentally friendly as we'd like to be. We still drive, we travel on planes and busses that use fuel that's obtained in very unenvironmental ways. We walk on pavements that have been proven to heat up our surroundings and harm the animals and plants around us. And with the addition of all the data centers that have been proven to consume gallons upon gallons of drinking water as well as a multitude of power, it feels like an endless battle. But we try, and oh will we keep trying and fighting for what we feel is right. It's just like you said, "order can use a bit of chaos, and chaos can use a bit of order". Here, you're now speaking my language, buddy :D Thank you so much for this lovely bonus audio, Crunchy! These talks and the imagery of the garden was a nice treat to decompress for the night. But I must say.. "I have very delicious blood. You should come try it sometime." Crunchy. Love. Darling. Please don't tempt me with a good time. Dude. Buddy.. 😵‍💫 I wish you a plentiful rest when you get there, with sweet dreams as equally as sweet as you are. Stay safe, meow meow 💙

A new ramble and a fresh cup of coffee. That's a pretty good way to start the day. 🤍

Hello, hello~ Siiiiggghhh... I had the craziest, busiest day. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciated this ramble. It was so nice to sit with you in your garden. You painted such a peaceful, beautiful picture. I might have added a big iced coffee to the scene. I hope you don't mind~ You know I'm a little jealous of those tiny glowing butts. I believe the last time I saw a firefly was... maybe twenty years ago? I know, that's crazy. I think it might be because I never travel when they're out? I don't know, but I'd love to see even one again. We don't get them in the city. The only one I remember seeing here was when I was about... hmm, ten? It was one lonely little firefly resting in my grandmother's garden on one of those bushes with the tiny red berries that look like little tomatoes. We used to pick them and squish them to "cook" when we were kids. People don't really plant those bushes anymore, probably because no child alive could resist making a complete mess of them. 😂 I'm getting off topic! I had no idea cilantro turned into coriander. The things Gardener Crunch is teaching us! Oh, I actually enjoy wild lettuce, but only lightly boiled. It takes away most of the bitterness. Add plenty of lemon and olive oil and it's really good. Give it a try if you haven't already. Clovers make the prettiest little flowers. I'm very fond of them. My old neighborhood was full of them. 🥲 Thistles aren't easy to get rid of, but you should keep a few! I think they're beautiful, and bumblebees absolutely love them. 🐝 Mhm, I was about to say that you sounded tired and then, poof, you acknowledged it yourself. Tired, yes, but I would also say just a tiny wee miffed. Mhm, mhm... I feel like the internet has always been a little exhausting, but lately it feels especially draining because everyone seems so invested in drama. And goodness, the AI witch hunts. Half the time people are accusing others without even knowing what they're talking about. I'm so tired of seeing people attacked left and right. I just can't anymore. And I'm barely online these days. I'll log in to watch a YouTube video for an hour or so, check on my people, and that's about it. I don't have the drive I used to, constantly hopping from one thing to another. Agh... Crunch... what do you mean you just see things and capture them? I see things and capture them too, and they just look like ordinary photos! 😂 Every time you post random pictures, whether it's the moon, flowers, birds, whatever, they always have a kind of beauty that mine never seem to have. Photography is its own skill, and it's one that not many people truly have. Mhm, getting good at drawing takes patience. Of course you need to learn the fundamentals, but in the end it all comes down to practice, and paying attention while you're drawing. Nine times out of ten you have to revisit a piece until what's on the paper finally matches what's in your head. Now, let's get to the AI part. I don't care what people say. Typing prompts until you get an image you like is not your art. No. And I won't go down the "artists have always borrowed from other artists" route, because that's not the same thing. Yes, it is true. Once you put your work out into the world, of course people will study it, be inspired by it, and use it as reference. That's been happening forever. But most AI models don't simply take inspiration. They often reproduce existing work with small changes. That's completely different. And most importantly, it isn't your painting. It doesn't contain any part of you. Brushstrokes, pen strokes, tiny imperfections... those belong to the artist. Art has character, no matter the medium. Maybe one day AI will develop something that resembles character. I don't know. But we're not there yet. And even then... I'm sorry, that's the AI's drawing, not yours. Now let me talk about my own field: writing. I actually think AI can be okay as a tool. And by that I mean tools like Grammarly. People seem to forget that Grammarly is AI too. We've been using things like that for years. So if you're stuck on a paragraph and something feels off, but you can't quite figure out why, I think it's perfectly fine to use an LLM to help identify the pacing issue or point out a weak spot. Mind you, I don't mean throwing your paragraph into ChatGPT and copying whatever it spits back out. Absolutely not. Look at the feedback, experiment, understand why something isn't working, and then rewrite it yourself. That's the important part. AI is fine as a tool for small things, as long as a human mind and human hands are still doing the real work. Whether we like it or not, it's here to stay. What we should be doing is learning how to use it ethically. A tool to improve ourselves, not replace ourselves. And one little extra thought, because you were talking about it right then. Whenever people say, "Oh, I can always spot AI writing because of the em dashes, repeated words, or awkward prose..." No, babe. Those things aren't exclusive to AI. I could sit down with ChatGPT or Claude right now and make it write something you would never guess came from AI. The point isn't that AI is sloppy. The point is that AI didn't make the effort. Effort was me waking up at four in the morning because an idea wouldn't leave my head. Effort was giving Reine her little quirks. Effort was researching myth after myth and reshaping them into something that belonged to my world. Effort was my brother changing that damn fog on my cover a million times until it was just right. (Don't even get me started on the font. He drove me absolutely bonkers changing it over and over, only for us to end up using the original one anyway. 😂 He almost paid 500euros for a specific font.) I'm ranting. Somebody stop me!!! Hehehehehe... the kid screaming in the distance gave me life. I laughed so hard. "AAAAAA!" They were definitely chasing each other with water. 😂 Honestly, I don't really care about the data centers when it comes to water consumption. Like you and Eli said, maybe we should first look at industries like textile before pointing fingers elsewhere. Chaos? Me? I wouldn't know. I'm very chaotically balanced. 😌 Well... there you have it, folks. Crunch is apparently very delicious. We definitely need to try him. I mean... oh well. 😌 I rambled a lot again. Nothing new there. I'm afraid Eli is going to show up with the measuring tape, and I'm not sure there's a box of shame big enough for me anymore. But before I go, one little thing. I don't know if anyone has ever used your work, your voice, your likeness, or anything like that. But... shame. I don't care if it was "just for fun" or "just for personal use," like you mentioned. Shame. If you genuinely respect someone and their work, you don't do that. And if you think it's not a big deal... shame again. You know what I mean? A little healthy shame is useful. It keeps people from doing things they shouldn't. And I'm not attacking anyone in particular. Even if it was only a passing thought someone had, my opinion stays the same. Shame. Okie! I'm done now. 😇 Thank you for keeping me company and for the sweet unwinding. I hope your morning found you gently, Crunch. Have a beautiful day full of sweet moments. Sending you warm hugs. Bye~🤍🌺

hi~ good morning/afternoon/evening 🌱 it’s so nice hearing all the updates about the garden 🥹 i get so giddy hearing about plants and trees in general ✨ i don’t think i’ve ever seen fireflies in my life other than last year when i was traveling for work. they were gathered around a street light right outside my window and looked so cute~ so you’re one of the sweet blood havers huh? it’s so bad dude, i’m struggling so much right now! the places they choose to bite are just evil, especially since it’s been so hot here, and they thrive in the heat .. i have them on my ankles, thighs, and even my fingers (which is the absolute worst) ;-; i’ve really been missing having a backyard lately, especially since my mom keeps sending videos showing off her garden and all the pretty trees and plants she grew ☹️ hopefully i'll get the time to visit her soon also, i didn’t know cilantro and coriander are considered different! that’s so new to me :> we call it “kişniş” here, and if we want the fresh stuff we just say “taze kişniş” (on another note, i’m so glad i don’t have that soap gene, i’m literally addicted to it!) it bothers me so much that the creative field was the first thing targeted, i feel truly sad for everyone working, freelancing, or even just doing it as a hobby.. seeing Ai around so casually is just so jarring ☹️ plus, being forced to include it in your workflow now just to keep up with performance expectations for corporates is exhausting… you can create using Ai yes, but it will NEVER give the same satisfaction as working on a project step by step with actual people the environmental side of it is heartbreaking too, even if the overall numbers don't seem massive (yet), the local impact is so real, it’s tragic that communities living near data centers are dealing with noise pollution and water shortages for basic things like showering or doing laundry it really feels like we don't have a choice and it’s just being pushed on us, when Ai could be so much better utilized if the whole focus was on fields like medicine or physics instead these past couple of years have been a mess in general.. no one is perfect, but we try our best to just be good, or at least be human. this was a great listen, thank you for this lovely ramble! i enjoyed it so much while making lunch~ 😌 hope you enjoyed your tea and that you have a wonderful day ahead. take care cutie~ xxx

thank you for this. i love hearing your thoughts. 🩵

Mosquitos get so bad here in the evenings that I try not to go outside in the summer nights. I heard they like O type blood which tracks because my family here is all type A and they're never as bad off as me lol I have the soap gene for cilantro and miss out on many good salsas because of it. I'm never more disappointed than when I've been tricked by a cute AI animal video. I refuse to use any hamfisted AI tools or content shoved at me tho. They bet so much money on an AI boom and some of them don't seem quite sure what to actually USE it for. Let the investors burn through their money and hopefully it'll calm back down at some point. I did see a video of an one and was surprised at how loud some of the hyperscale data centers are. The video showed one with gas generators that are on 24/7, and that constant droning would drive me crazy, so I can't image the effect it would have on the wildlife. It doesn't help that data center developers here target poorer, rural areas because the people who actually suffer from the side effects don't have the legal means to fight back. Thank you for the ranty ramble Crunch 💙, it's always something interesting to chew on
