Hey everyone.

I'll start with the good news...

That Star Wars video I mentioned I wanted to do...?

IT'S FINISHED and being uploaded as I type this post!

The video (assuming there's no problems) should go live during the evening of May the 4th, for Star Wars Day!

Now for the... kind of bad news?

It isn't outright bad news but... I'm rethinking some things.

As you all know I made my video on Destroy All Humans (again) and have made plans to talk about the other games in the series. Now, that IS still the plan but... I'm not sure how to go about it anymore right now.

As you'll see with the Star Wars video, I've decided to tone down some of the heavy visual editing I normally do for the sake of making the video faster paced and generally allowing me to just write and talk more about these games I want to talk about so much.

The changes aren't so drastic that they go against the style I've worked towards so far, as there's still the live action slapstick, and occasional use of editing to make a visual joke but I've just felt much happier toning it down a bit.

During the several month gap in my uploads this is something I've been considering and wanting to do once I came back...

...Which brings me to Destroy All Humans.

Yes, that video was uploaded after my hiatus, but the project as a whole ended up being an amalgamation of various edits, shoots and re-writes I did during this creative absence and ended up editing that video the same way I have been doing in the last few years as "that's what works"...

I mean, even the whole "games in the box" thing was sort of forced into place as I introduced a loose narrative thread to my videos that wasn't even supposed to include Destroy All Humans in the first place when I originally wrote that in...

...but due to these changes I want to make to my editing, I'm now going to potentially end up with the other 3 games being presented a little differently which... I'm not sure what to think about that.

I think my main problem is I should never have outright said what I'm working on next, as sometimes when working on these longer, more drawn out projects... my mind wanders off and looks at other games I want to play and discuss (such as this Star Wars one) and I end up putting unnecessary pressure on myself to deliver videos I'm not currently thinking about.

As the creator of the video, the fact I literally hold up the other games in the series and say I'll be looking at the other games in the series at the end of the DAH video annoys me... as I really should have re-worded that given how I'm currently feeling but... that's just how hindsight goes.

As nice as the gesture may have been, I had some nice reception from folks in the DAH Discord server, as many nice things were said by other fans of the games but again... it's added pressure for me to deliver on something I started working on months ago and have since started falling out of mood for.

And yeah... I do feel like a bit of a shit for saying this because obviously people want to see these videos from me sooner, rather than later but if that inspiration ain't there, then it ain't there.

The fact is I've already starting playing yet another game that has caught my interest and want to make another shorter snappier faster paced video discussing it rather than carrying on with Destroy All Humans right now but... it's all up in the air.

It sounds mad to say but I'm even tempted to just undo everything and re-redo the first game so it'll match the format I want to do with the other games but... it's already done now.

Rest assured I DO want to talk about Destroy All Humans, and I will not be letting this footage and these notes go to waste... but I just don't know what to do with them right now.

Before I know it the remake will be out (which as of TODAY has been confirmed to be happening in July) so... I need to think! Thankfully, while at home and away from work I'm able to work on videos much faster, and thanks to my different approach to editing and writing I feel I can make videos a little more to the point, as well.
