As a general note, I think it is fine to look up the true/historical characters once their names have been revealed - just make sure you don't wander into a Fate Wiki!

I would say looking up Saber and Caster is fine, especially in this case since Caster's real life identity is important to understanding why he is the way he is. Looking up lancer and rider should be fine too, but as someone said earlier stay clear of the Fate Wiki, stick to normal wikipedia lol

Don't want to be picky, but Artorius was the king of Britain (intended as celtic kingdom), England (a name derived from Angle people, an invading germanic tribe from the continent, they fused with another germanic tribe from the continent, the Saxons afterwards) was yet to come in existence in those times. So calling Saber "the King of England" is not correct.
