2026-08-26 19:03 Peak has returned! I really love how Insight is interpreted here. Also, the Old Blood meshes suprisingly well with Malal beyond the Metaphysical upgrade to his existence. Immense synergy potential. Devil's are a degraded version of their origins, but their progenitor was a divine creation of the Almighty. Insight would naturally follow suit from Malal gaining Old Blood, since he already possessed (extraterrestrial/divine?) Eyes and Senses that grant an immense increase to his perspective of the world around him. Devil Magic is literally just shaping their imagination and using Magical Energy as fuel to achieve the result, unfortunately I don't think this was ever truly expanded on. (Kind of unrelated, but this is similar to something in the Nasuverse. In Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, Illya is mentioned to possess a "Wish Granting" Sorcery Trait. It basically allows her to skip the process and achieve the result, creating miracles by using Magical Energy as fuel.) I think Malal was already forming a Dream (Realm) without even ascending to become a Great One due to that synergy. Has he become immortal with just what he's currently developed from the Old Blood?

Well damn, Old Blood is doing that thing Serafall wanted. Namely, changing the quality of his demonic energy on top of the quantity to get that anomalous nature to become stronk. As a pure Devil, he also has an easier time “ascending” as an outer god thanks to his metaphysical heritage. I wonder if Ajuka sees what Mal does thanks to his Kankara formula, or if that is the barrier between (Holy or Fallen) Angels/Devils and True Divinity?

I mean, Great Ones aren't truly Divine, more that they are such a vastly superior biological lifeform that they may as well be God's to the Humans (+Pthumeru) who discovered them. They don't require faith, or embody anything. They just live on a literal different plane of existence as multidimensional beings. (Kind of like the 'Worms' in Parahumans.) [Example: You don't physically walk into the Nightmare Frontier, and you can see the Nightmare of Mensis and Fishing Hamlet in the distance (Dreams/Realms created by Great Ones.) At the Fishing Hamlet, you can see the Hunters Nightmare while looking down in the water. Remember the snail lady that fell from the sky near the Whirligig? It was amazing environmental storytelling. This strange being literally fell from a higher plane of existence.] “The Sky and the Cosmos are One.” Devil's are already an existence several tiers above normal humans, so Malal can assimilate Old Blood better as a vessel. I'd also guess that Ajuka would have an idea as to what Malal is doing (Dreaming wise. Maybe not Insight, but then again, he'd be someone more in the know.), because the Doll remarked how beautiful Devil Magic is. There is likely compatibility there, a familiarity that Ajuka could pick up on.

You do know inside the rules of the chaos Gacha. It does not bring over extra stuff or other influences. Ex getting blessed by the chaos gods through the Gacha will not bring the chaos gods to your universe. The same thing applies to old blood he should be getting all of the benefits none of the drawbacks.

Additionally, the rules of the Gacha allow for traits to be turned off so he could at any moment turn it off. The specific wording is. Traits do not occupy ability slots and any amount can be possessed at a time. They can however be toggled if their effects are undesired.

I NEED MOAR, Infon!! Such an amazing story so far! And I am very curious to see how far Malal has gotten with Old Blood. Is he in High-Class now thanks to the new Boost? Or low Ultimate? Considering there was talk of 20x+ boost last chap, i'm guessing he's between mid High-Class and high High-Class. 🤔 Next chap can't come soon enough!! 😭
