I see certain character often gets majority of votes l and I think that might demotivate you to choose character you want or vote the character you want. I want to give less famous characters a chance to win so I'm choosing the winner by lottery with the percentage of the vote they get starting with this month. Just like I used to draw one more character with lottery. If you have a question or thoughts, let me know.

I think once a character has been selected they should be removed from the options list for a few months and popular characters that weren’t chosen maybe given another chance to shine in some way. An Edit: perhaps instead you could do an Amugea’s choice where you pick your favorite from the list of leftover characters.

I was thinking giving longer cooldown than 1 month🤔 maybe a year or half a year would be enough

Some diversity helps alot, plus certain characters lowkey get seen too often thanks to them being trendy.

Oh so like old times that’s good by me 🫡

Well I'm still drawing only 1 character but the way I choose winner will be just like the lottery like I used to do

Matchattea

👀, not a bad idea. I like it.

I don't know how often Captain Amelia is requested but in my opinion I don't really see enough art of her

I almost never vote for which ever character is winning the poll anyways. I purposely vote for characters that are losing.

One creator I follow does something similar to this. There will be 5 characters but one of them will be a mystery and will be done regardless of the vote outcome, and the supporters only vote on the other 4 characters.

Ehh I think having it be randomized is probably enough. Has duplication really become that much of an issue? Has any own character been picked more than 4 times yet? I think the randomized method works because it makes it possible for perpetual 2nd and 3rd most popular characters to get wins. No need to ban characters for a full year though doing so could whittle things down to the point that we have a much more niche pool of characters to pull from which could be cool. Though at most 12 characters would be banned at a time so I am not sure it would actually whittle things down enough to make losing out on fan favorites actually worth it. Maybe if you went back to the old system that would result in 24 be banned at once which would result in some much niche characters getting attention.

I like the idea of adding a random decider after a pool of the those with the most or any votes. I'd like to suggest a preemptive list of characters that have won so far that year, or have gone past a threshold of winning polls that you prefer people not suggest. And depending on if these are the occasional winners, maybe they get pulled off the list after a year. But the ones you notice consistently winning multiple times already since doing these polls stay on the list, but might be considered for another side project tbd since there's an obvious consistent audience for them that would enjoy that character in something bigger.

Really hoping more obscure characters get some love. Characters like Roodaka (BIONICLE), Maja (Spectrobes), Kat (Gravity Rush), and so much more

Kepp

I think that would be better. Or perhaps a cooldown of a certain franchise after three or four times.

Kimcheezy

A year might be too long for some fans, I think having a character twice a year in different context/scenarios would be a good balance between appealing to fans and diversifying your portfolio

The 6 month cooldown you put out is solid. Appreciate it. You can also pick a list of the top 10 or 20 characters. Once theyre picked, theyre removed. The next month replace with the next top suggestion. Have a fresh new pick every 6 months. If one character goes a month with no votes, remove them from the list and replace until they get top likes again
