Could you Watch Adventure of Sinbad ?( Trust me its peak 🔥)

As a manga reader, Crona is by far my favorite Soul Eater character, their character arc in the manga is peak, unfortunately the anime only adapted about 30%, so all the characters are worse in the anime.

Something that isn't explained correctly in the anime because they changed how souls work, is that Kishin Asura, the one who is sealed and Medusa is trying to free, is the ONLY Kishin that ever existed in the history of the Soul Eater universe (which exists for about 1000 years, Soul Eater takes place over 1000 years after Fire Force). All the other characters you see in the anime who are called "Kishin Eggs" aren't true Kishin, they are just in the path to become one, because for someone to become a Kishin it is needed to eat an unimaginable amount of souls. Medusa was trying to turn Crona into a Kishin, and they were the closest character to becoming one, but Crona was still extremely far from becoming a true Kishin, so Medusa gave up and decided to try to revive Kishin Asura instead.

You are right for seeing similarities between the Kishin and Haumea from Fire Force. The Despair of Haumea and the Evangelist that Shinra Bansho Man purged is what gave origin to the Kishin. Kishin means "evil god" in Japanase, and in Soul Eater a Kishin is a divine being who is the personification of the concepts of Madness and Despair itself. The three eyes in the Ohkuboverse (the name the fandom gave to the shared universe of Soul Eater and Fire Force) represent the Kishin, so every time you see the symbology of three eyes, one of them being a vertical one in the center, you know that it has to do with a Kishin, madness and despair.
