I wrote this almost off-handedly the other day, but I really like it. Should I change "Ovaltine" to something else, like "Rhombustine" or "Parallelogramtine?"

Good day, space cadets! Is your Space Cadet Uniform And Polyester Leisure Suit all spiffy? Has everyone had a hug who wants one? Do you have your Secret Decoder Ring and a big mug of Ovaltine? Well, then! It's time for The Space Cadets' Birthday Song!

From the rings of Saturn out to Pluto's moon,

Mars and Venus to Uranus and Neptune,

From our own moon where you're just one-sixth the weight,

We have crossed the spaceways just to celebrate.

On the day you were born, mitosis'd, hatched or spawned,

All the stars were shining bright from dusk till dawn.

That was just a coincidence, they always shine,

But to your day, special meaning we'll assign.

In the whole universe, I am proud to say

We've discovered everyone shares DNA,

But though in most things we're all a lot the same,

You're uniquely you, and that's your claim to fame.

So bring out noisemakers and balloons again

(Although maybe not -- we'll use up oxygen)

And we'll make a big deal of your Natal Day...

Then get back to exploring the Milky Way!
