Progress Update – New Mechanics? (Patreon)

Hi everyone, it’s been a while. More than just a progress update, this is actually more of a devlog or a way to share something I’m planning to add to the game that fundamentally changes the story progression. I’d like to know what you think about it, or if you have any other ideas to add.

In the original game, a lot of time passes, and the fact that the MC can’t take off his boxers without help is a major limiting factor, I find this quite restrictive now, especially since there are things I’d like to add to the world to make it feel more alive.

One element I feel I’ve overlooked is the fact that the MC is a commodity to be used,a piece of meat, a prostitute, so to speak. The appeal of this world is that the roles have been reversed, it’s the women who desire men to the point that they’re willing to pay for it, even for just a little affection. I feel like this aspect has been somewhat overshadowed by the romance (which I really enjoy writing), and it hasn’t allowed me to fully explore everything this universe has to offer.

Besides that, I’d like to expand the world and exploration a bit for this new update (mostly to break up the monotony of visual novels). I’d also like to add some side quests that allow the MC to be used by women outside the main cast to earn some extra money.

Initially, for this update, I plan to add two side quests, one that’s somewhat innocent (but with potential) and another that’s not so innocent. Selling kisses at institute is a simple concept, but it can be expanded upon in the future since it doesn’t specify where the kiss has to take place. For each side quest, I need at least three NPCs to rotate through the scenes. This one in particular can also be used by the main cast, so it’ll give the MC something to do to earn money outside the main plotline.

Another possible side quest involves working outside. To avoid disrupting the game’s logic too much, the MC can’t take off his boxers without help inside the institute, but outside, he can do so to earn some extra money, that’s why I’ve added a new location.

The public bathroom, located in the park, is a simple option for making good money early on. It keeps your identity a secret from various characters.

The plan is that each day you can choose an option: either advance the story or work. This money can be used to gain affection with Rea, spend on yourself to overcome obstacles in the world with your enhanced abilities, buy upgrades, or use it on dates with the girls.

This would also require at least 3 NPCs; it wouldn’t include the main cast at the beginning (since that would imply they’re using that kind of service with someone other than the MC), but it opens up the possibility of adding more variety in terms of body types and kinds of girls. This scene requires animations, but I plan to use the same skeleton to make it easier to use multiple girls and reuse animations.

The one you see here is just an NPC. If you’d like to collaborate and are interested, you can also suggest what kinds of girls you’d like to see,you can even send me the Koikatsu card so I can evaluate whether I can integrate her into the game or not directly, so show me your designs!

Later on (and this is where you might be able to give me some ideas) I plan to add other possible “jobs.” These are obviously sexual in nature, but I’d like to have varied scenes, locations, and different types of characters. Among the ones that come to mind are:

-    Low-tier prostitution: Maybe the MC can make some money by offering his services to some rough-and-tumble women who like to hang out drinking and smoking under the bridge or in the city sewers. They’re a bit violent and don’t pay much, but you’ve got to start somewhere.

-    Roadside work: Offering his services along a route near truck stops or to other female workers passing by, also low-earning.

-    In the business district: Simple work for tired office workers, maybe offering cunnilingus for a few credits.

-    Outside the maternity ward: For new mothers who are breastfeeding and need help pumping their milk.
