Hi Aron 👋 to me it felt weird to see this lineup because it's hard without the CBX members that we love and appreciate 🥺 but also exo was always ans seems to be always about quality and not about the amount of members that participating, because to be honest they delivered that strong energy and I could feel it even though my screen which is incredible!! I also got very interested in how suho and D.O will manage to do the high notes of baekhyun and chen, and to see them doing it so well I'm so proud of them they are such a strong vocalist of their own now this is what I'm talking when it comes to quality! Also back it up is a b-side song, in my opinion it's kind of experimental so that's why you didn't resonated with it on the first listen (I feel it always happening to me with their new music, except of the ballads) but once you'll heard it more than you'll be used to it, maybe the next stage that they'll preform this song will make your experience with it better than now

I really love your honest how you feel about songs you listen on repeat and is different when that line someone else is singing . When members were in the army each members cover each other we said is different and happy about. But this time is different when you know all members active but not together it breaks my heart, and members did amazing EXO will always be EXO no matter where they are they own stage the new song is b-site track after 6 or 7 years they are performing MMA that is why suho kai cry how hard they put in then change when Lay have to go back you can heard Lay vocals in the background. The drop is next week 17 jan if i remember correctly looking forward. and baekhyun have concert that day in las vegas. Thanks for the reaction 🫰

And also when you say it doesn't feel the same with out the CBX boys, I can definitely aree to it, you said you can hear their voices although they got replaced - this is still happening to me also with the 3 Chinese members that left exo untill 2015, mostly tao because he did so many back up vocals that I can still hear it on every back track they put on, growl is the most noticeable one, also the part when D.O went to the front between two members in growl and smiled it was originally the part that belonged to luhan - and I can still see him walking like D.o did with his pink hair

​EXO will always be EXO, regardless of the lineup. While I’m sad that CBX couldn't be included, I understand the circumstances were beyond the members' control. I’ve watched their MMA 2025 performances multiple times, and while everyone agrees they were phenomenal—truly exceeding expectations—there is still a sense of emptiness. That disappointment isn't about the quality of the show; it’s about the missing members. Unlike their previous comebacks with 5 or 7 members, this comeback feels different because we know the weight of the situation behind the scenes.

Thanks for the video. I also felt the same when I heard other members singing CBX’s parts, it felt so weird, and not because they didn’t do it well, actually they did it amazingly, but we are used to hear CBX’s vocals, so I know every time I’ll listen to them I will think about CBX😔 I really liked Back it up, but I felt the same as you about the stage, idk what it is, it’s not that they didn’t do it great, but as you said I liked it more when they were together. And I think is not the title track but a b side from the album, if I’m not mistaken. But anyways they did an incredible job, it was nostalgic and iconic. Everyone in the show went crazy when Growl started to play. There are videos from outside of the building of how loud the crowd went when they were performing Growl, it’s just so iconic, that’s why they are legends. when i first watched mma stage of exo i was watching it through the live, so u dont exactly know whats gonna come next in terms of the songs that r gonna be included and all, and no matter the circumstances the way exo still shines. No matter the number they always bring quality and professionalism on stage. I feel like we all get the situation and how its beyond their reach to do anything about it and im still grateful to the members fighting for their group and the name. Back it up actually shocked me so much, the epicness of the instrumental, the different pieces of different genres in there, their vocals and the performance... this is so exo. I assume the whole choreo and stage idea can also come from the lore. How we r in reverxe aka reverse era and the song is called back it up, so its them backing it up, and having been seperated for so long (in their lore), while having this individual parts and then coming in together. this comeback is them going back to their roots and im extremely excited for it. Also exo always had powerful b sides which couldve easily competed to be the main title track, I dont think it wouldve been easy to predict by the song wether its a title track or not. each of them shines so much individually and together they r just bringin another type of aura and i cant wait to see what they prepared for us in this comeback
