The evening class at Iron Grip Academy was in full swing, the familiar sounds of bodies hitting mats and strained breathing filling the converted warehouse. Carlos moved through the rows of paired students, adjusting stances and offering instructions. His teaching style had always been hands on, but those watching closely might have noticed his attention lingered longer on certain female students, especially those whose husbands weren’t present.

It had been five days since Jacob’s silent departure from the apartment, five days since Ashley had watched him pack his bag and leave without a backward glance. Five days of unanswered calls and texts, of desperate pleas sent into a void. Five days of alternating between crushing guilt and defensive justification. Five days of sleeping on the couch because she couldn’t bear to enter the bedroom where Jacob had discovered her betrayal.

Iron Grip Academy had become her only refuge, the one place where the reality of what she’d done didn’t press down on her with suffocating weight. Here, at least, she could lose herself in physical exertion, could let her body take over when her mind became too crowded with regret.

Carlos had been unusually attentive since she’d told him of Jacob’s departure, his satisfaction barely disguised beneath a veneer of sympathetic concern. The affair continued, now without the need for secrecy, without the thrill of potential discovery. Something fundamental had changed, though Ashley couldn’t quite articulate what it was. The sex was still intense, still overwhelming in its physicality, but afterward, the emptiness seemed to expand rather than recede.

She was drilling takedown reversals with a blue belt woman when the door of the academy banged open with enough force to make everyone turn. Ashley’s heart stuttered in her chest when she saw Jacob standing there. His eyes scanned the room, bypassing her completely, locking onto Carlos.

“You,” Jacob called out, his voice carrying across the suddenly silent gym. “We need to talk.”

Carlos straightened slowly, a hint of amusement playing around his mouth as he handed his clipboard to a nearby student. “Class, continue with the drills,” he said calmly, before turning to Jacob. “I’m in the middle of teaching, but we can speak privately after-”

“Now.” Jacob cut him off, crossing the mat without removing his shoes, an intentional violation of gym protocol that highlighted how far beyond caring he’d moved.

Ashley froze, her drill partner forgotten as she watched the confrontation unfold. This wasn’t the Jacob she knew, not the gentle, conflict avoidant man who’d share observations but never raise his voice. This was someone else entirely, someone forged in the fire of betrayal, his eyes hard and his jaw set in a way she’d never seen before.

Carlos glanced at her briefly, a look that held both warning and satisfaction, before focusing on Jacob. “Fine.” He gestured toward the office door at the back of the gym. “We can talk in-”

“Here is fine,” Jacob said, loud enough for everyone to hear. “I don’t think privacy is something you’re particularly concerned with.”

A ripple of uncomfortable recognition moved through the students. Most had stopped pretending to drill, their attention captured by the confrontation. Liz stood near the front desk, her compact frame tense, her sharp eyes assessing the situation with obvious concern.

“Jacob,” Ashley managed, finding her voice at last. “This isn’t-”

“Stay out of this, Ashley.” Jacob didn’t even look at her, his focus entirely on Carlos, who had shifted his stance subtly, a fighter’s adjustment, prepared for conflict.

“What do you want to discuss?” Carlos asked, his tone professionally.

Jacob closed the distance between them, stopping just short of violating Carlos’s personal space. “I want to discuss how you fuck your students’ wives while pretending to be their instructor. I want to discuss what kind of man preys on marriages for sport.”

Ashley felt the collective attention shift to her, felt the weight of two dozen gazes landing on her flushed face. The public exposure of her shame was excruciating, but she couldn’t look away from the confrontation unfolding in front of her.

Carlos remained unnervingly calm. “I think you’re upset, which is understandable. But this isn’t the place for personal grievances.”

“No, the place for personal grievances was my bedroom, where I found you with my wife.” Jacob’s voice cracked slightly, the only indication of the emotion churning beneath his controlled exterior. “But since you brought your personal life into my home, I thought I’d return the favor.”

A murmur rippled through the watching students. Ashley closed her eyes briefly, the humiliation burning through her. She should intervene, should pull Jacob away, should do something to stop this trainwreck. But she remained rooted in place, unable to move, unable to speak.

“I think you should leave,” Carlos said, his voice hardening. “You’re disrupting my class.”

“Your class?” Jacob laughed, a harsh, unfamiliar sound. “Is that what you call it? From where I’m standing, it looks more like your personal hunting ground.”

Carlos’s expression darkened. “That’s enough. Leave now, or I’ll have to remove you.”

“Remove me?” Jacob stepped even closer, his face inches from Carlos’s. “Like you removed my wife from our marriage? Like you removed her-”

The shove, when it came, surprised everyone, including Jacob. His hands connected with Carlos’s chest, pushing the larger man back a step. It wasn’t a particularly effective assault, more a release of pent up fury than a determined attack, but it crossed a line that couldn’t be uncrossed.

Carlos reacted with the trained reflexes of a seasoned martial artist. In a fluid sequence that seemed almost choreographed, he secured a grip on Jacob’s arm and shirt, and executed a perfect hip toss. Jacob hit the mat with a dull thud that forced the air from his lungs, and before he could recover, Carlos had transitioned to a mounted position, one forearm pressed against Jacob’s throat in a restraint that wasn’t quite a choke but made the threat clear.

“Stop it!” Ashley cried, finally breaking free of her paralysis, rushing forward only to be held back by Liz’s surprisingly strong grip on her arm.

“Let them handle it,” Liz murmured, her eyes not leaving the scene. “You’ll only make it worse.”

On the mat, Jacob struggled against Carlos’s hold, his face flushing with a combination of restricted blood flow and utter humiliation. Carlos leaned closer, saying something too quiet for anyone else to hear, a private taunt that made Jacob’s eyes widen with renewed fury.

“Get off him!” Ashley called, wrenching free from Liz’s grasp. “Carlos, that’s enough!”

Carlos glanced up, maintaining the pin with ease. “He attacked me in my gym, in front of my students. He’s lucky I’m not pressing charges.” He applied slightly more pressure to Jacob’s throat, a subtle dominance display that wasn’t lost on anyone watching. “Are you done?” he asked Jacob, loud enough for everyone to hear. “Or do you need another lesson?”

Jacob’s response was to buck violently, a surge of desperate strength that momentarily unbalanced Carlos. It was enough for him to scramble free, pushing himself to his feet with jerky, uncoordinated movements, his breath coming in harsh gasps.

“Jacob,” Ashley tried again, moving toward him. “Please-”

“Don’t,” he said, holding up a hand without looking at her. His eyes, burning with humiliation and rage, remained fixed on Carlos, who had risen to his feet. “This place is poison,” he said. “You’re all fucking poison.”

He backed toward the door, his normally pale face flushed crimson, hair disheveled, clothes rumpled from the brief grappling exchange. The entire class watched in uncomfortable silence as he paused at the threshold.

“He won’t love you,” Jacob said, finally looking at Ashley, his voice carrying in the silent gym. “He’s not capable of it.” Then he was gone, the door slamming behind him.

For several heartbeats, no one moved. Then Carlos clapped his hands sharply.

“Show’s over,” he announced to the class. “Back to drilling. Roberts, Kim, show me that takedown sequence again.”

The spell broken, students gradually returned to their exercises, though conversations were subdued, glances still darting toward Ashley, who stood frozen in the center of the mat, the weight of public exposure pressing down on her with suffocating force.

Liz approached, her expression unreadable. “You should go,” she said quietly. “For today, at least.”

Ashley nodded mutely, grateful for the excuse to escape. She gathered her gym bag without changing out of her gi, avoiding eye contact with everyone as she moved toward the exit. Carlos stopped her with a light touch on her elbow.

“He’ll get over it,” he said with a casual confidence that suddenly struck Ashley as grotesquely misplaced. “They always do.”

They. The plurality of the word. Not just Jacob. Not just her marriage. They. As if this were a pattern, a game he’d played before with other women, other marriages.

“I’ll call you later,” she managed, pulling away from his touch, needing to be anywhere but here, under the collective scrutiny of people who had just witnessed the public evisceration of her private shame.

Outside, the evening air was cool against her flushed skin. She scanned the parking lot for Jacob’s car, a part of her hoping to find him waiting, to have a chance to explain, to somehow mitigate what had just happened. But the space was empty of anything except her own car and the assorted vehicles of students still training inside.

He was gone. Again. And this time, the silence of his departure held a different quality, not shock, but finality. The last tenuous thread connecting them had just been severed in the most public, humiliating way possible.

Ashley drove home in a daze, her mind replaying the confrontation in an endless loop. Jacob’s fury. Carlos’s dominance. The moment when physical violence had erupted between them. The looks on the faces of people she’d trained with for months, the judgment and pity and interest all mingled together.

Her apartment, their apartment, felt emptier than ever when she arrived. She moved through it like a ghost, dropping her gym bag by the door, not bothering with lights, not bothering to change out of her gi as she made her way to the kitchen. The bottle of wine in the refrigerator was still half-full from the dinner she’d prepared for Jacob’s visit, the dinner that had gone cold as he’d packed his things and walked out of her life.

Ashley poured a glass with shaking hands, then abandoned it in favor of drinking directly from the bottle. The alcohol burned going down, but did nothing to dull the ache spreading through her chest, the knot of self-loathing and guilt that seemed to grow with each passing day.

She sat on the chair at the dining table for what could have been minutes or hours. Her phone chimed with a text notification. She ignored it, certain it was Carlos, equally certain that whatever he had to say would only make things worse. But when it chimed again, insistently, she finally pulled it from her bag.

The message was indeed from Carlos, but its content wasn’t what she expected.

Carlos: Your ex made quite a scene. Had to put him in his place. He won’t be back.

The casual cruelty of it, the dismissive way he referred to Jacob as her “ex” when the wound was still so fresh, sparked something beyond the numbness that had enveloped her since Jacob’s departure. Anger, hot and clarifying, surged through her veins.

A second text followed.

Carlos: Come over tonight. I’ll make you forget all about it.

The presumption in those words, the arrogant certainty that sex with him would somehow erase the devastation he’d helped create in her life, broke something loose inside Ashley. With trembling fingers, she typed a response.

Ashley: Fuck you, Carlos. I mean it. FUCK. YOU.

She hit send before she could reconsider, a reckless, momentary satisfaction flowing through her at the small act of defiance. Her phone rang almost immediately, Carlos’s name lighting up the screen. Ashley declined the call, a savage pleasure flooding her system as she imagined his surprise at being rejected.

The phone rang again and again she silenced it, tossing it onto the couch as she continued to pace the apartment, the restless energy building inside her with nowhere to go.

Another text came through.

Carlos: Stop being dramatic and pick up your phone.

The condescension in those words, the utter lack of empathy or understanding, crystallized Ashley’s anger into something harder, more focused. She snatched up her keys, driven by an impulse she didn’t fully understand but couldn’t resist. She needed to confront Carlos face to face, needed to make him understand what his casual destruction of her marriage had cost her.

Terminal Itch

Here's where she starts to make it all Carlos's fault

Del

What is the point of this story anymore? Its just some human emotions in written form (albeit greatly written), nothing more. Feels like i've lost interest in it and it doesn't look like it's headed anywhere besides some sex between Ashley and Carlos again and again. Anyone have a clue?

Earl0849

She will be on her knees 5 minutes after her arrival.

Cass

Jacob's outburst seems kinda odd. It looks like he's trying to recover some pride or maybe to show Ash he's not who she believes to be, but it seems like he didn't accomplish much. It does however also serve as a reminder that if Jacob is going to have any form of retaliation, it's not gonna be via physical or hand-to-hand means. I'm prepared to be disappointed by Ashley again, but it looks like she's finally taking a stand so that's great to see.

Hannah Baird

Super intense confrontation. Didn't expect Jacob to return in that capacity, but I was on edge when he responded physically. The public humiliation/shaming of Ash might have been a moment where she finally snapped out of it. On that moment though, Jacob calling them "poison" could not have been a more apt designation. They really are poison, to everything around them. Really interesting moment, was when she realized that there are others. She's not special. "They" finally starts letting it sink in. As for the confrontation with Carlos via Ashley, it's hard to say where it will go, and what she can do to muster some sense of "you're to blame for this", when she bears almost the entire brunt of it. Really good character development, part of me wants to see Ashley have a small redemption arc here, just so she can get some agency back in her life and finally take responsibility for what happened.

Hannah Baird

It seemed odd at first for me as well, but I think there's a point where it made sense, and that was declaring openly to everyone who Carlos is, what he's done, and making it known publicly what Ash has done. I think this was Jacob's retaliation, it was his final retort. At least, I hope it is, because it's fitting. It gets all the secrets that were hidden from him (and others presumably) out into the open. He brought Carlos out into the light. Best thing he could do, and probably the most realistic. I do agree with you, I think I'll be disappointed by her again, but I was kind of rooting for her at the end. But she can't foist everything off onto Carlos, she needs to own it as well. Hoping that regardless of the outcome with her and Carlos, she can get her head on straight.

Hannah Baird

Sadly Earl, I don't think you're wrong here. I do hope that it's the "last time" for real though and she finally gets the mistake she made.

Hannah Baird

Yeah, and I think Carlos' potential retort/rebuttal could oddly help her understand, she was in control, she made this choice. Would be fittingly ironic and poetic if that did occur. But, it's hard to say where it will go really.

Hannah Baird

I think there's acknowledgement left in the story. Almost a guarantee there will be one last "final" sex scene for the partial finale of the series between Ash and Carlos. But beyond that, I think it could be Ash taking responsibility, or at least understanding her role in all of this was. Those emotions centered around loss, lust, anger, etc, are the primary vehicle to explore the end here, or at least what feels like the final act. Personally hoping for a miniature redemption arc for Ash, since she seems capable of it. But it won't bring Jacob back, it wont fix her life, not completely.

Earl0849

Not the last time she can still go much lower and she will. I'm more focused on Liz and how she fits in. She may be grooming for Carlos. Still say Carlos has friends in low places.

Maciek

One could hope that after previous chapter Ash would at least try to somehow make some amends. But it's still more of the same: she pesters Jacob but still fucks Carlos; she wants to have cake and eat cake. That, or she's simply weak. I don't have much hopes about her awaiting "confrontation"

Maciek

About Jacob's retaliation not being physical - well, all depends on how far he's willing to. There is sth like baseball bat or just handgun. While it'd probably end with Jacob behind bars, he could think it'd be worth seeing Carlos finally losing his infuriating calmness with his knees blown off.

Cass

For sure, the outburst kinda looks it fell on deaf ears now but could definitely be something the students begin to question and have a closer eye on. Perhaps even starting a revolt lol. We got just a bit of her rage at the end. I probably would've liked to see this be fleshed out to give her that moment of self-reflection. Give her the mindset that once she sees Carlos and maybe even Jacob again that she understands she was responsible for how things panned out. But with what we got, it really helps to give the feeling that Ashley is heading into the lion's den this time.

Hannah Baird

Actually, outstanding point Earl. This line: "Liz approached, her expression unreadable. “You should go,” she said quietly. “For today, at least.” Liz is the one who tells her to go, not from the gym permanently, just for now.

Cass

Absolutely. I mentioned it before as well, but I just can't see Jacob overpowering Carlos with his hands or his training one day. The story has also made that abundantly clear too. Which is why if Jacob is going to inflict any physical damage it's likely through a weapon. I did bring up the potential of jail too but that's also something I don't see Jacob looking forward too. Especially since in the last chapter, we see him gather his valuables and leave. I feel like if he was feeling reckless he wouldn't be having any priorities or necessities to care for anymore. I will say though, maybe Jacob does feel like damaging Jacob to a point where he's left immobile and unable to communicate and his outburst at the gym causes other gym goers to turn a blind eye when called into questioning.

Cass

Honestly, I agree. Especially with the first half. It was almost a "blink and you miss it" line to read. I don't think I'd go as far to say it needed to be added at all, but I immediately lost all hope I had for Ash. At least momentarily

JRockk

Good for Jacob standing up for himself against Carlos even though he knew the odds were stacked against him. I'm glad he let everyone know just what type of man Carlos is and how he likes to ruin people's lives and he's nothing more than a bully. Im glad Ashley finally felt some embarrassment for once even though I got this feeling that this little confrontation is just gonna lead to her spreading her legs for Carlos once again.

Hannah Baird

That's what I'm worried about as well. But, I would hope that this "confrontation" makes her finally achieve clarity, finally break her addiction. I don't want to hold out hope, but at least she has a semblance of understanding here. Jacob's public shaming of them both is one of the best "final words" I've ever read in a series, loved that.

Hannah Baird

Exactly, Jacob isn't the type. He's not going to commit a crime or try to shoot Carlos. He's had his final word, there's nothing left for him to do. The truth is out there, everyone knows at the gym. You can't put that genie back in the bottle so to speak. And I feel this was super reckless already, but I mean, worth it. Every bit of it. Especially the fact that even if it was in "self defense" everyone knows that is Carlos cant control himself from a little shove, the dude is not some super handsome dom, he's just a bully with a short temper. Anything but the measured composure he usually has.

PufferFish

My impression is that Jacob went there ready to be beaten up and expose the kind of person Carlos is. As an ending arc, her next encounter with Carlos might be the last one, possibly with Carlos forcing himself on her and Ashley finding out she is pregnant.

JRockk

Exactly! It was never about Jacob winning the confrontation/fight he knows he can't physically do anything to Carlos one on one, but exposing him and Ashley for the cheating scumbags they are in that dojo and getting the final word had to have felt good on some level even if Carlos took him down quite easily. Im sure Jacob got some satisfaction showing everyone what kind of bully Carlos truly is and how dumb Ashley is gonna trult feel once she realizes she threw away a marriage for a man who doesn't care about her unless her legs are spread open. I also don't think Ashley can be redeemed in my eyes based on the simple fact that she allowed Carlos to say and due multiple cruel things to Jacob and she basically got even more aroused because of it. You can't claim you love someone when you allow such awful to happen at their expense because you're horny. Another great chapter btw.

PufferFish

Jacob went there to get beaten up, he had nothing to lose and would show everybody the kind of person he is? Ashley's last encounter with Carlos could be forced. Her ending up pregnant and alone, without Jacob and Carlos, would be a fitting last image.

Hannah Baird

@PufferFish I would be blown away if Ashley was pregnant, I mean that is possible, in some capacity. But given how many months they've been together, they didn't mention any condoms when she was with Jacob, and I presume she has an IUD, it would probably be unlikely. However, something you said "force himself on her" that could be the "confrontation" that finally makes her snap out of it, I'm hoping she does. And if that consequence was pregnancy like you mentioned, that would be shocking, but wow that would hit like a nuclear bomb.

Hannah Baird

@Jrockkl Excellent points as always. Jacob doesn't know about the targeted shoulder attack, and he also doesn't know that he...well, he ate Carlos' cum. No way around that, which is horrifying. You can't fix that, and all the demeaning things Carlos has said about him. Can lust override that love? Is it genuine love? I want to believe that it was at some point, but when she couldn't reconcile herself anymore, I think that just withered.

Mkm560

And, if I read it right. Ashley and Carlos have gotten together after Jacob walked out in the last chapter. If he knows that there is no way back. At least for the foreseeable future.

Hannah Baird

@Mkm560 Oh wow, great catch! I didn't even think of that. Damn. Yeah, I really hope Jacob is truly gone after this, his mission is accomplished. We need Ashley's narrative to end here.

achilles

i don’t really see what the point of this story is currently. She still is fucking Carlos., so much for her devastation. Jesus she is a shallow slut. Are we going to have to go through 10 more chapters of this shit before it’s over. Just like Sarah in toxic attraction this cunt is not redeemable. She just needs to own her actions and be the cum dumpster she was meant to be for carlos. There is no way a recon bt the two would be believable

Hannah Baird

I do believe there is some sincerity in her remorse, especially since the affair continues and there's this line: "The sex was still intense, still overwhelming in its physicality, but afterward, the emptiness seemed to expand rather than recede." Something really is eating away at her, she knows she messed up, bad. I think her taking ownership of her actions and saving what remains of herself, would be fantastic. Because yes, especially after this, Jacob would never reconcile this, he's out. And I truly believe she knows it, but she hasn't taken responsibility for it yet.

achilles

yeah sorry. there is no sincerity if ur spreading your legs the same day your busted and that’s apparently what happened. jesus. lol. and to your point yes the sex is intense but guess what, it’s not a dirty secret she holds over her spouses head anymore. bc guess what. play stupid games win stupid prizes and she has taken first place. she’s a shitty person and she just can’t face the mirrror.

Hannah Baird

Completely fair point! :) I think that's what I want is for her to face the mirror, she's close to doing it, but she need to make that full turn. It wouldn't "save" her character, but would at least offer some accountability, because she's suffering consequences at the very least.

Sigma

This is bullshit! So Iron Grip is the “only refuge, the one place” where she could go for reality not to press down on her? Are we talking about the place WHERE SHE MET HER AFFAIR PARTNER??? You mean there was nowhere else for her to go? Not the YMCA, Planet Fitness, or some other martial arts studio? ONLY the VERY PLACE that humiliated her husband, seduced her, and broke up her marriage? What a dumb bitch. And I’m not using the term “bitch” casually. This is likely one of the most appropriate, fitting, and relevant times to use that word to describe a woman. And then over the five days since her husband left her “The affair continued . . . the sex was still intense.” So, even with all her grief of what she’s done she’s still hooking up? Oh poor Ashley, “afterward the emptiness.” Oh how sorry we feel for her. NOT! She’s not remorseful at all, no conscience issues at all. She only has some regret, wishing things had gone differently. Now she gets humiliated in front of her classmates, sees her lover take down her husband, then is going to her lover’s apartment to tell him off. Yeah, right. We really believe that. Neither does she. Bitch.

Sigma

Jacob must have known where Ashley was in order to make the scene at the studio in front of her. When he called out his wife in front of everyone it was a form of personal redemption in front of everyone and showed everyone he was not a cuck and would not permit himself to be cucked and humiliated like that. But it also put her on notice that this was public, no longer private. And now that it's public it means there clearly is no way back for them. He put everyone on notice about his wife., and put her on notice too. All that’s left is to file the papers pal. His statement, “He won’t love you, he’s not capable of it,” was not a crumb of hope toward reconciliation. Not at all. It was a statement to her of what she gave up. She gave up true love for emptiness, empty love, just temporary a physical high which even now has no afterglow as she would have had with a loving husband. That also indicates its over between them.

Amer Gill

Brilliant, Eddie has pulled this from the fire.If it plays out the way I think it will play out, then the next chapter will have me spurting across the room. That was great.

Sigma

I award Jacob a Platinum Man Card. This is a man’s man. Sure, he may be somewhat scrawny. Not all men are big guys, some are nerds. But a man's man displays masculine traits like physical and/or mental toughness, loyalty, competence, devotion, principle, confidence. Jacob doesn’t have the physical toughness of his adversary, but hell if he didn’t man-up and confront the bully in his face! That scene was fantastic! Imagine, the gangly novice fearlessly faces up the instructor, violates Carlos’ personal space, exposes him to his students, shoves him! So what if Carlos took him down? Even more impressive is that Jacob didn’t give up the fight, but was even able to buck Carlos off. The mark of a man is to take the hit when you have to and not cry about it. Jacob retained his dignity, even enhanced it. jacob is a stand-up guy. He supported his wife, encouraged her, loved her, defended her. Then stood by principle when she violated their sacred trust, and faced up the adversary and walked away clean. Platinum man card with no expiration date.

Amer Gill

Do you see what I mean about the pitfalls of taking something too seriously and literally? Just read some of the comments, the exasperation in their words-"Jesus, she is a shallow slut", " I hope there's more sincerity in her remorse"and my personal favourite, "The cunt is not redeemable".THIS IS A JERK STORY FFS.

Amer Gill

Why "sadly".Isn't her wanton last the whole point of this story?

Sigma

Clarity? She's going to his apartment to give him a piece of her mind! To his apartment !!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!

Amer Gill

Do you have inside information? This is NOT a criticism, just an observation, but I'm surprised at how many opinions you respond to ? Why is that?

Hannah Baird

@Amer Gill Well, two things can exist simultaneously right? Or even more. For instance: 1. You can enjoy it for the plot, character arcs, prose, dialogue, and design. This is the advantage of the erotica medium compared to porn. It's cerebral. 2. You can enjoy it for the sex scenes, skip to them, read them, have some fun, and there you go. 3. Both! You can read it, and get steamy, nothing to stop you from enjoying both as they inform one another. If people feel inspired to comment, that's the sign that something is working. If readers are holding discourse, that's awesome. I love that. But it's ok for everyone to feel differently. :)

Sigma

“He attacked me in my gym, in front of my students. He’s lucky I’m not pressing charges.” What a f'ng wimp. Yeah, the big bad blackbelt instructor with the tight shirts and big muscles who teaches martial arts is going to press charges that he was attacked? Isn't that what the entire class is about? Some students might reflect on that statement and recognize he's really not that tough, not when someone stands up to him.

Hannah Baird

He really isn't. That's why this callout works so well I feel. He's actually paper thin, he's not calm, cool, or collected. Especially with him pestering Ashley after, comes across like Carlos's ego and image have been tarnished, and I think that's true for sure.

Sigma

OK, last post. This chapter got me worked up: Ashley continues to blame-shift all of this, not taking any personal responsibility for what she's done. She refers to the "devastation he'd (Carlos" helped create in her life" and later, she "needed to make him understand what his casual destruction of her marriage had cost her." She keeps blaming Carlos, when he ensured pretty much every time, "tell me you want this." "Are you sure you want this?" It was her choice every time. Every single time. The "casual destruction of her marriage" was by Ashley. She was way too casual about cheating on her husband from the very first lie she told him in (9). "She learned she could look in husband’s trusting eyes and lie without hesitation"

achilles

well. i’m just reading the story. i didnt realize we all had to read it and jerk off. if u don’t like what i say amer don’t fucking reply to it. not everyone that reads the story has to read it like u. u ignorant fuck

Hannah Baird

That's what I am kind of hoping for with this "confrontation" that is coming up. I really just want her to realize what she's done. It has been her choice, she can't deny that. So if Carlos has to hold that mirror up to her so she can take ownership of that, I would feel that character arc would be great. It wont' assuage her actions or behaviors, but at least her character's journey can come closer to the end.

Hannah Baird

@Amer Gill Because I'm a writer myself, I love talking to readers, and I love storytelling. Hearing other's ideas and theories, as well as what they think could happen is awesome. This is also my current favorite running series, so to see others read it is awesome.

Hannah Baird

@Amer Gill Because she should know better by now, but doesn't. Yes, her wanton lust is absolutely part of the story, but it's also reaching a finale/denouement. I also like to see things subverted personally, so her going to actually confront Carlos and not just fuck him, would be unexpected. Which I think a lot of this story has done. Yeah, it's a traditional cheating story, but it has a great setting and the writing is great.

Pascal

For those who enjoy this kind of story featuring irredeemable wives like Ashley, I recommend 'February Sucks, Couldn't Happen' by Raulmerez1, which has just been published on Literotica.

PufferFish

@Hanna Baird: that would be the ending where she losses everything, and all of it by her own hand. It would made a good epilogue! Six weeks after the confrontation at the gym, Ashley leaves her apartment, full of moving boxes and without the bed and couch, donated to charity. She slides the signed divorce papers into the mailbox, then drives away. In the car she recalls the last two times she saw Jacob: the absence of love in his eyes, the dry exchanges about lawyers, the accepted offer to sell their apartment, and the paperwork that closed their marriage. She had already heard, quietly, that he had met a recently divorced old flame for lunch a couple of times. She parks outside the gym. From the passenger seat she shifts a box with Jacob’s forgotten belongings, which he refused to take, and reaches for an envelope tucked beneath it, heavy with positive pregnancy tests. She carries it with her as she walks inside. A class is underway. Carlos is bent close to a young blonde white belt, his voice warm as he says, “I do offer private lessons if you’d like to improve your technique.” He looks up, meets Ashley’s gaze for a heartbeat, and without the slightest change in expression, turns back to his student.

achilles

read it this morning. enjoyed it.

Earl0849

Hannah, it seems very clear for Ash its Carlos or nothing. I think he has plains for her of which none are good. Don't know about Liz and if she is with Carlos or has her eyes on Jacob.

Earl0849

They all get over it was comment Carlos made to Ash. I wonder how many and if Liz was One of them.

It deserves a much higher rating. It's well-written and engaging and a complete story. The initial first pages are tense, the situation dire, then he has to be taken care of by his wife! But then the story begins to shift in an interesting manner and ends up really, really good!

Jacob. Thanks for the catch. I edited and corrected it. "Adam" is from another story I'm reading, plus I'm using the name in a story I'm writing. My screw-up.

@Hanna Bird, I thought of pregnancy just to add to Ash's misery :)

Love the fact that Jacob begins the process of lifting the veil that Carlos and Ash think protects their little affair. Humiliation can be public when it's personal. After all, Carlos hurt him on purpose in class too while he was recovering. Her emptiness while continuing to see Carlos is really only realistic to me. I hope Jacob continues to show up with agency as his life improves with a new partner with hot scenes while hers devolves into ever more deserved humiliation and meaningless and debauched sex while seeking anything other than the void she has found at the end of her cheating rainbow (though that will be hot to read lol). Probably won't happen but never hurts to hope. :0)
