(If you think something tiny is missing from the bottom right corner of that last page, you're right, and you can see it here in the original post!) (But you must be patient!)

I'm so happy whenever a Miranda chapter goes up! I hope you are, too. And this time around, "CHEESY NOODS" is finally legible and not to be confused with "CLASSY NOODS," which I think Miranda would not have in her pantry.

If you didn't catch this series the first time around, I posted these pages with an English translation of Berto's song right here! Huge thanks to Kier, who translated my clumsy words into Spanish.

I was really happy with this chapter. It feels just like all the cool basement concerts in town that I missed when I felt too shy to go to them. Too bad I didn't have a Nicole around to drag me out of my shell...

Wow, I don't remember you translating the lyrics the last time around. This is amazing. I love it. Thank you.

Our blonde friend in the 80s fit, I'd give ANYTHING to look that cool

I adore the atmosphere you create for Miranda's dreams - from gentle lulls to suffocating panic - it feels so relatable every time and shows a vibrant creativity inside her that she doesn't quite want to share with the world.

I remember feeling like Nicole was really pushy & inconsiderate for dragging Miranda to the party & abandoning her. I think the wait between pages heightened my anxiety about Miranda's discomfort. Re-reading the whole chapter just now, there's still some pushiness & discomfort, but Nicole certainly was right about Miranda's musical taste. Sometimes it CAN be good to be dragged out of your comfort zone.

Hooo boy! Extroverts & Introverts DO NOT MIX. I feel ya, Miranda, I really do. Parties to me are like garlic to a vampire!

I just realized I haven't been to a house party since the late '90's when I found I was old enough to be everyone else's father, it felt really odd. Now I'm old enough to be these kids' grandpa. "You kid's these days, with your music, your clothes and your hair!" *Sigh* "Brings back memories it does! I remember when ... " ---Notices no one is listening, so watch the children play, smiling ---

William Cole

I'm thankful no one called out my typo (now fixed) of "pussy" for "pushy".

The last house show I was at was last summer. I wasn't quite at grampa stage, but I was definitely at the high end of the age spectrum. It was part-music, part-reading & pretty chill, but probably more dissonant than Miranda would enjoy.

Forgot how much I liked this page. And also, don't think I originally noticed Miranda tearing up after the song! Fantastique! Also, telling the cat "just for a minute", and the cat thinking "this is my couch now". :)

NOTA

Thank you!

Nicole was right about Miranda's musical taste, but dragging her to a noisy crowded party and abandoning her like that was super uncool.

Smith

Miranda is on the universal cat distribution route I see.

Miranda reminds me SO MUCH of my husband and brother-in-law. Just a couple of regularly-dissociating anxious introverts (with varied levels of the 'tism, hehe). I am regularly the Nicole in our family, dragging them out to things that they don't wanna go to - results are mixed. 😅 I LOVE Miranda stepping over the panel border to avoid that guy 🤣

Wanna hear something funny? Neither do I. 😅 I'm glad I did, and glad I found it!

I saw it during my morning phone allowance and I had a very 😏 look on my face, thank you for starting my day off right William!

This is one of my fav chapters artistically, with all the dreaminess and creative use of space n such for the party! I like how there's a bit of surreal (?) stuff even in her awake life, like the stepping out of the panel to get away from wannabe spit swapper. I really like Miranda as a character. I'm not as introverted as her but I still feel like i *get* her, y'know? She resonates with me the most of the main 4. Really enjoying rereading and looking forward to new pages when you start back up!!

dcorsetto

That is EXACTLY how I feel about Miranda - I'm not petrified by social interactions, but I completely understand the feeling! (And thank you!!)

Amy Crook

those Cheesy Noods are giving me a craving haha... absolutely lovely chapter, I always enjoy the peaceful surrealism Miranda brings to the story (and ofc the KITTY!)

Lőrinc Del Motte

Same. I'm much more comfortable hanging around with a small group of friends than the clamor of a bunch of people I don't know and have no interest in.

Jemiah Jefferson

That little twiddle of Miranda's hair coming loose is so perfect... it just says everything

I'm behind on my reading here, but, Danielle THAT FRAME at the bottom of pg 13 where Miranda is floating and looking down into emptiness!!!! OMFG, that is breathtaking. I can feel myself floating! It evokes a combination of every magical moment I've spent freediving and their equivalent in flying dreams. SUPERLATIVE. Oh, yeah, and I love the rest of this story, too!!! 😂

Honestly, as happy as I am with the inks and coloring and some of the tricky angles I got in other panels, that one panel always makes me pause and feel it. I'm really proud of that one. :) Thanks, hon!

I agree about being pushed out of your comfort zone but a good friend would also stick around and make sure you're doing ok for a while before allowing themselves to be swept away. I used to be much less comfortable in a space like that and had those friends who would abandon you there the moment you arrived - it's not much fun! But I love that Miranda found some joy before the overwhelming chaos pushed her back to her safe space.
