Wish To Be Taller ~Kaiju Edition~ (TG Comic) (Patreon)

This is the first time I’ve finished a monthly theme on time, and the one I chose this time was Kaijune “Kaijuly.”

This comic is the hardest one I’ve ever made. I ended up spending two whole weeks finishing it. I had to experiment with a lot of techniques to put this piece together. I think many parts turned out pretty well, but I hope they work in other people’s eyes too.

Because this one required so much experimentation, I had to redo many parts due to poor planning and my lack of experience with some of the techniques.

This is also my first horizontal page comic, and it turned out much wider than I had planned. The reading order may be a bit messy, and that’s still something I haven’t figured out yet. I tried using common manga techniques, such as varying the spacing, but I think readers could still lose the flow. So I also tried adding separators and arrows to help, but I don’t think they solved the problem that much.

But it was still fun to figure things out, and I definitely want to make more.

I already have a few ideas in mind, but if there’s something you’d like to see, feel free to request it in the chat. (But I may not be able to finish it very quickly.)
