I dreamt up this follow up conversation for a bonus panel, but it was way too long, so I made it it's own comic and thought up a different bonus for the original comic instead!

I needed 2 impressive but also kind of mundane things the baby unicorn could do and for some reason, pie and taxes popped into my head and wouldn't leave! Like, I didn't even brainstorm like I normally would! It was pie and taxes and that was the end of it! 11yo came by suggested the baby unicorn could have cured cancer, but that was too much. Suddenly "cancer's cured!" is the news instead of the baby unicorn that bakes pies and does taxes. I tried to explain this to him, but he didn't really get it!

I loved the idea of the pie just sitting there, unmentioned, from the start of the comic -only revealing it's importance at the end. You can see it wasn't until right at the end that I gave Joel the same mouth as Fran from the last comic. I took the finished comic to J and he said "What would it look like if you gave Joel the mouth?" I'm so glad he asked because the answer was "hilarious!" 😂
